for anon!
the baliknifen and balitricken flags are inspired by holographic knives, since i felt like a more colorful flag would call back to the word ‘butterfly’ in ‘butterfly knife’, while the hookknifen, twistbladen, and knifegamen flags use more traditional silver blade colors. the two black stripes at the bottom of the baliknifen/twistbladen/balitricken flags and top of the knifegamen flags and the two brown stripes at the bottom of the hookknifen flag represent the handle of the knife.
the color arrangements on the hookknifen and twistbladen flags are supposed to sort of resemble the hook and twist of the blades. the balitricken flag also has two extra stripes in fun, bright colors to represent the flashiness of butterfly knife tricks. the knifegamen flag’s bottom two stripes represent the table the game is typically played over and the potential danger posed by the game itself.
