Some of the most common ways I see individuals struggling is by adopting restrictive food and diet “rules” that cause them to feel as though their freedoms are being taken away. . And when this happens, it’s human nature to rebel. Like a caged bird who’s set free, when we can’t stick to the plan, we go crazy overeating those “bad” foods and regain the weight. . BUT, what if you took a more methodical approach? What if you didn’t try to turn your entire world upside down overnight? What if you made slow, gradual changes so you didn’t have to sit on your hands around sugar and white-knuckle your way around carbs? . You CAN lose fat without the calorie obsession. You CAN lose fat without the suffering. And it starts with throwing out the crazy food rules and learning how to TRUST yourself to make smart decisions. . Most of you have been dieting for years, if not decades. You already KNOW what healthy foods are. You don’t need more rules to tell you how to eat. You have a body that can help guide you every single step of the way if you can silence all of the unhelpful dieting noise you’ve been subjected to: . You can let common sense prevail: . ▪️Eat only when you’re hungry ▪️Eat mostly whole food ▪️Drink 3-4L of water every day ▪️Manage your portions by using a 9 inch plate ▪️Minimize mindless snacking ▪️Protein & vegetables in every meal ▪️Exercise 3-4 times per week . These are all good starting places. When you’ve become the type of person who can execute one of things consistently over several weeks, then add a second one, etc. .
