I hate the discord about Meghan Trainor because some of the same things people are dragging her for they are celebrating in other (male) artists.  When it comes to her people are mad because she’s too “thirsty” and how dare she but then people are analyzing Hosier’s ever line, interview, etc because he’s so “thirsty” and isn’t it great.  She’s getting dragged for the same thing he’s getting praised for using the same exact terminology.  

She also gets dragged for singing about how guys like her weight because larger women are more then fantasy objects.  This is true but not many people are complaining about the numerous artists that always sing about being someone’s fantasy.  Maybe if the industry allowed more diversity we could get people singing about more diverse subjects but, until them, stop holding this one artist to a higher standard because she’s supposedly representing a whole group.
