Message from the Mun
//Hey guys. So, I really never thought I would have to make one of these, and I was really reluctant to even now, but the situation has grown urgent.
I am in urgent need of dental work on many of my teeth. The last time I had sufficient dental work done was 5-6 years ago, when I was still in foster care. Now I've aged out, and cannot afford to go back and have been trying to take as best care of my teeth as I can, but unfortunately there is only so much I can do. A few things that need to be done are:
-multiple fillings on the right side, as my last visit we only focused on the left, and the right side has since deteriated, including an old filling that has now fallen out and is resulting in pain
-a root canel on my left
-x-rays/cleaning
This is just from the estimate, as we won't know the full extent until they can get a good look at the damage. In addition, I have extreme anxiety that eill prevent me from being able to withstand the dental work for the time required. The soloution we used in the past was IV sedation, as it was the only way they could get things done without meeding visit after visit after visit due to my inability to be there long. This is of course expensive, and I am on disability with a limited income. My teeth may not be straight, or 'pearly white', but having them in my mouth, in even somewhat decent condition means alot to me as it makes me feel like I have not yet sunk to the lowest point in my life. The amount I am trying to raise is an estimate based off the records of the last time I had work done years ago, it could be more but it is unlikely to be less. This would include the work +1-3 hours of sedation, which should hopefully be enough. I understand it is alot to ask, and alot to give to a virtual stranger, but any little bit helps and I will gladly post or send proof of the work/payment to anyone who asks or donates as reassurance the money will not be going anywhere but to the stated need.
