Colours are chosen because blues and purple are often associated with wisdom and insight, and green is associated with healing. Warm colours are often associated with action and movement.
The name "Minister" was chosen because minister has two meaning that are relevant to the idea. "A person sent on a mission to represent another" and "to attend to the needs and comforts of"(, also in our system the alter that this role is based on is a priest, which definitely contributed to the name)." "Layperson" was just chosen as an equivalent.
