JOYRYDE Teams Up with OWSLA For Commercial Release of "HOT DRUM"
LA-based producer JOYRYDE is quickly became one of EDM’s hottest acts. Without question, he’s on a hot streak during his breakout year; successfully producing 8 singles and branding his personal sound and style. If JOYRYDE is not the only producer who creates automotive-influenced house, then he’s certainly the best at it. What’s so impressive and uncanny about his riveting rise in the industry is the fact that he has only self-released music. However, this fact has recently came to an end but for good reason.
Skrillex‘s powerhouse label, OWSLA has recently picked up JOYRYDE. What’s more, OWSLA is not only releasing an EP for JOYRYDE in 2017, but they provided ‘HOT DRUM’ with a commercial release as well.

The release stems from an old reggae drum loop that JOYRYDE found, which the very same sample heard in the drop/chorus of the song. ‘HOT DRUM’ is a declarative statement from both JOYRYDE and OWSLA that’s boldly foretelling of great music to come.
