Our favorite pair of twins have broken from the barriers of toddlerhood and have ascended into childhood!
Since the twins finally managed to develop the attention span to sit and watch an entire 1.5 hour movie, Dante decided to take them to a theater to watch the newest hit. Everyone loved it, and nobody got scared, not even Rory! Lance initially wanted to sit alone due to his newfound status as a 'big boy,' but eventually, he decided to go with his family, because he loves his little sis (yes, Lancelot is the older twin by a few minutes).
After the movie was dinner at a taco restaurant, aptly named Taco Restaurant. Tonight was packed, so getting the cake and tacos and aging up the twins was a bit of a hassle, but eventually, the deed was done, and now Lancelot and Aurora are kids! Gone are the days of potty training, temper tantrums, and separation anxiety, and here come days full of school projects, daddy-daughter dances, and extracurriculars! Now that the twins can stay home alone, Dante no longer needs to worry about childcare, but he still wonders if he can remain an active figure in his kids' lives while single parenting and focusing on his career.
By the end of the party, both Lance and Rory were absolutely exhausted, but at the same time, absolutely elated. While the twins yapped with almost everyone in the room, Dante checked his email to discover that Emilie had sent both of the twins a present in the mail.
Maybe she wants a role in this parenting thing, after all. Maybe she wants to get back with Dante. Maybe Dante is overthinking this whole thing. He knows he won't go for whatever she wants, though. It's still too soon, and while the sounds may be healed, the scars remain visible.
