“what thoughts would you have?”
“or what? you’ll hang me, as you did your rat catchers?”
“you should humbly be seeking our opinions and counsel.”
“do simply what is needed of you: nothing.”
alicent you are so right in so many ways but also you’re channeling a lot of your own insecurities into this conversation. it’s beyond aegon just as it’s beyond you! i <3 motherhood
Someone told me how devastating it was for Rhaenys to be killed by the same dragon her daughter once rode and honestly? Fuck that someone. I could’ve lived okay without realizing that.
Instead of making fun of Aegon for not knowing High Valyrian, we should be celebrating Sunfyre for being bilingual. My girl is an intellectual stop making her make war and start giving her classes to teach
in the danger of sounding like an aegon pervert targaryen apologist, i wont say much about it except to call to attention the moment we see him in the council start he is not just mad he is scared not just cuz he’s a kid all that but his position is worse after jahaerys and it’s not just his desperation and fear but certain other moments stand out in this episode like plain men soldiers pausing war to compute the sheer insanity of what their eyes are seeing, the sickest spiciest dragon eyeing her rider and knowing just knowing, the darklyn son getting news of his father, vhagar stepping on a bug, a lord not leaving a battlefield because he wants to see this unheard unseen on the continent before dragon fight, sunfyre the ugly golden shit burning people because we gotta do it super blind and drunk apparently, acting out scared for life and position and drunk on the failure of your existence getting burnt to a crisp, a lonely weak spine sticking out of a bundle, black haired witch sucking frog guts from her fingers, a shower of boiling black blood raining on friends and foes burning flesh and leather and metal, an aemond daemon demon screaming meemie and an unreal absolutely shattering heartbreaking sight of a once vibrant red beast against yellow stone burning a breach into a birdhouse
Me, before ep4: nothing will ever make me connect with crispin cole, he's such a loser
Me, after that post-battle breathing scene: criston cole is me?? he lives in MY lungs?? we breath and walk up hill TOGETHER??? we stagger to our king through ASH and past perfectly good horses that im too injured to mount but by gods will I breath and put one fucking foot in front of the other to stop my fave not-son from killing my other not-son slash king????? criston cole and I need to sit down, that was a LOT we just went through omg
Ngl, I’m pretty confused at all the people who are saying Aemond’s only intention with burning Sunfyre/Aegon was to kill him.
Aemond came to do a job. His brother shows up and fucks the whole plan up. He has a shot at Meleys. He isn’t going to stop trying to kill Meleys just because his brother is fucking stupid. He definitely had a “if he dies he dies that’s not my fucking problem” attitude but not a “wow let me murder my brother intentionally” attitude.
Or maybe I didn’t see the battle right? I could be wrong. But like. Aemond isn’t going to keep Aegon safe and risk losing the battle. But he also isn’t going to kill him outright.
Vhagar Lastname you jumpscarin' bitch
