Obviously not everything that happens can be translated perfectly but... very American style stuff bc I am American lol.

Aerion who attacks Tanselle at some summer festival thing where she is performing. Fully convinced she is committing a genuine sleight against him personally, screaming about how she is evil come to ruin him and his family. Dunk, scarfing down ribs with Raymun, is grabbed by the strange kid whose parents he keeps trying to find, not security just a good guy, absolutely rocks Aerion's shit.

Dunk who is grabbed by the security because it is a Targaryen-owned festival so Aerion is allowed to get away with almost anything. Cops come. Dunk's arrested. Aerion's brought to the hospital bc poor baby he got hurt. Tanselle is brought too, but the cops aren't listening to her story. They don't care. Maekar comes in trying to pay her off. Suggests she leaves the city.

Fast-forward to the arraignment on Monday (incident happened very late on a Friday and the courts aren't open til Monday). Being charged with felony assault. Dunk is refusing to plead guilty, even if his public defender is begging him to. Almost every aspect of the state has Targaryen influence, he will go to prison for years if this goes to trial.

Baelor, who hasn't stepped into a court room in nigh on a decade, decides to defend Dunk for free. He's sick of Aerion's shit and he loves his brother but Maekar has not done enough to stop Aerion or get him the help he needs. Aerion should be on medication for his dangerous delusions before he kills someone over it, as he almost just did.

He shows up at the arraignment, asking the judge to please move his client back on the docket so he can speak with him.

Baelor who is able to convince the judge Dunk is not enough of a danger to keep in jail. Who completely ignores the prosecutor when they ask in the hall to please just make his client plead guilty. Who promises Dunk he will be free of these charges.

With season 3 of IWTV on its way, I just have to say Episode 1 of Season 1 is not only one of the best pilots I have ever watched, but one of the best episodes of TV.

Especially towards the end of the episode during Louis’ confession and Lestat turning him. That scene alone was so phenomenal from start to finish in every aspect. It was desperate and terrifying. The acting was beyond amazing. Set design, cinematography, color grading, costuming… every piece fit together so well to make one of the best scenes in all of television of all time.

The last two episodes of season 2 also carry this same perfect concoction of everything working seamlessly to create a tense, terrifying, and emotional episode. That’s why they are so highly rated and overall agreed upon as phenomenal.

But the first episode, fuck.

well apparently everyone else hates it. i do not. i love it. i love what they did with it, i love that crowley got to choose, i love that he chose humanity, that he did not choose to run away.

because THAT is who he is. he loves his stars and creations, he loves humanity, he loves the messiness, the good and the bad, the ugly and the beautiful, he loves watching them. he showed jesus all the kingdoms of the world to share that love with someone who he knows already felt it.

in the end, they made that choice together. it's a choice they have made before, over and over, saving humanity over themselves. no god, no angels, no demons, no thousands of years of suffering for all the millions of eternal beings.

personally, i choose to believe that god's last gift to them was integrating them into the fabric of the new universe, so they will find each other in every lifetime. but without anyone watching, without any plan behind it, without senseless suffering, without creating stars just to destroy them.
