How to Catch Flies With Vinegar

I think I've posted about this before, but since I am once again At War, here is how to kill fruit flies.

Find the source of the infestation and deal with it

Fill a shallow container with some apple cider vinegar

Add a drop of dish soap

Cover with plastic wrap, or perhaps the plastic lid if using an old takeout container

Poke holes in top with pen

Wait

Unfortunately I'm not sure if I found the source. I'm a frequent cook but indifferent housekeeper so I'm not sure if it was the stray apple slice or something else. But it's a little better already.
