Houston's finest burger is a classic, juicy, and flavorful burger that combines perfectly grilled beef with a delicious blend of toppings and a special sauce. It's a must-try for burger enthusiasts in the Houston area.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/4 tsp black pepper. 4 burger buns. 4 slices cheddar cheese. 1/2 cup lettuce, shredded. 1/2 cup tomato, sliced. 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced. 1/4 cup pickles. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1 tbsp ketchup. 1 tbsp mustard.
Instructions: Warm the grill up to a medium-high level. Shape the ground beef into 4 burger patties that are all the same size. Add salt and black pepper to each patty to taste. Put the burger patties on the grill and cook them for four to five minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if you like them more done. In the last minute of cooking, cover the grill and add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty. This will melt the cheese. Heat up the grill and toast the burger buns until they are just barely golden while the burgers are cooking. To make the burger sauce, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard in a small bowl. Spread the burger sauce on the toasted buns to make the burgers. On the bottom bun, put a lettuce leaf. Then, add a burger patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, red onion slices, and pickles. Put the other half of the bun on top. Warm it up and serve it with your favorite sides.
