I’ve realised a lot of people seem to be confused about why I’m sometimes in a wheelchair and sometimes not so here is a very brief (and as un-medical as I can make it) explanation: I have two disabilities, one affects my soft tissues and the other my nerves. The soft tissue part means I often dislocate my limbs and I’m so floppy if I fall over I’ll tear my muscles rather than break my bones. The nerve part of my disability means that when I do get an injury the nerves in that part of my body will paralyse and cause great pain. BUT they do generally always get better 😊 Last week I slipped over on a wet pavement because I’m also hideously stubborn and kept holding the dog lead when I should have given it to Claudia. Genius idea. I tore some muscles in my legs and bum as I fell and now don’t have full range of motion in them. They’ll probably be a bit floppy for a few more days and in the meantime I’m loving having my wheelchair to easily glide around in ♥️ So, sometimes I’m in a wheelchair, sometimes I’m on crutches, sometimes I have wrist splints but I’m still chirpy, happy me regardless.
