Everything happens like canon up until this point. Siffrin fails the friendquests, has a breakdown with Loop, and makes it through the entire glitched-out house on his own once again.
This time? Loop doesn't help the family get through the house. They don't tell them about the loops, they don't even show themself at all. Instead opting to hide far, far within the branches of the favor tree.
The party takes too long to get to Siffrin's aid. Too long too long too long.
However, instead of giving up, of letting go.... letting themself be frozen.... Siffrin runs toward Mal Du Pays, it easily sidesteps. But he keeps running, brandishing his knife and yelling, charging towards the King.

His family arrives just in time to see him deal one final strike to the King's form. Darkless craft wafts out in clouds behind him, the King's wish fading into the darkening sky.
