Hi, I read some of your posts about Hinny, Ginny weasley, Harry's gay and that you ship him with Nott. While I like Nott and I mostly agree with your takes (you're right he's definitely gay in the books) yet I headcanon Harry as straight (even if I have no evidence to support it)

I headcanon it purely out of spite. I loathe Ginny's stupid crush on harry for 6+ years and I hate that the plot rewards her creepy behaviour. So in my headcanon, Ginny and Harry do date for a little while and then Harry breaks up with her because he realizes he doesn't actually even like her. So, naturally she's bitter and sending him signals that she wants to get back together (like in the burrow) because she things they're "destined" to be together.

And then, Harry starts dating someone else. And I want Harry to fall in love with another girl because it would hurt Ginny more than if Harry dated a boy. If Harry was gay, she could at least console herself that it's him not her. He's gay and it's not her fault that they're not together. She could continue fantasising that if Harry wasn't gay she could've had him.

This kind of mindset is not plausible if Harry is straight though. Then she would have to accept that she's the problem. It would drive her insane that she tried so hard for years, she altered everything about herself to make him notice her whereas someone else got his attention without even trying. She would see that their relationship was better and lasted far longer than she and Harry ever did.

She would have to come to terms with the fact that she was wrong about destiny. despite her best efforts, he chose someone else. She would have to accept that she cannot force herself or anyone else to be in a relationship just because of uwu fate.

The character of Ginny Weasley just reeks of in-authenticity. And you can call me sadistic but I want her to suffer for being such a terrible person.

I don't have such a passionate hatred of Ginny, but this ask/confession was a fun read. I don't really have much to say other than that.

lmao I don't agree with peters choices near the end of the marauders era any more than yu do but when y'all just completely cut him out from your fanons or demonize him straight off the bat that's just lazy writing and ineffective literary analysis I guess you enjoy having no emotional depth and that's the piping hot holiday cocoa tho

The one reason I began disliking the HP fandom is because I've never seen another fandom as bitter and petty in their fan-wars as them. Don’t get me wrong, I’d still rank HP higher than Narnia, Percy Jackson, Hunger Games, Divergent, Maze Runner...any Y/A series really. But I’ve been about 2 or 3 years in the GoT/ASOIAF fandom now, and even if there are plenty of fan-wars, they are 75% in good humour or conducted civilly. In the HP fandom, people come at my throats if my opinion differs. I simply wrote I like the character of Snape, and there was vitriol galore on my timeline. Like jeez, I don’t have to ship Jily, I don’t have to adore Blackkinnon, or like Ginny. Grow the fuck up. I’m honestly so disappointed because this was the first fandom I wholeheartedly got into, and now this.

When my brother and I were small we’d play potions by making this big mess in the bathtub with soap and food coloring and once we gave it to my dad who had to pretend to be Snape and he was poisoned and died except magic brought him back to life and when my stepmum came home he ratted us out to her because we were pretending to be Harry and Hermione and her McGonagall impression was spot on except all she did was take away five points from Gryffindor and told him he deserved it for being a bad teacher HHHHH

HP Confession #3:

(YEA i used THIS gif, ok?!) I don’t like how people write Lupin’s parents in fic sometimes... The reason he got turned in the first place was his dad’s bellefs and I doubt they would change and make him all loving. However, I feel like Hope would be the exact opposite; she gets written off as the outsider who wouldn’t understand at all as a Muggle, but that’s ignoring the fact that she literally married a wizard and was from Wales, which has an entirely different culture towards magic and their characterizations get sold short for me.
