what would iwa-chan do if he found out his little sister is dating mattsun/makki? (or even possibly both idk)
Oh no. This became kinda long because I wanted to add some backstory to it whoops.
Ever since Hajime started hanging out as a group of four with Makki, Mattsun, and Oikawa, he introduced the two new additions to their original duo to his little sister who was a year younger than him.
She warmed up to them immediately, which made Hajime quite glad. He kinda thinks of it as a good sign if his sister likes his friends because she’s been hostile to all his other friends in his childhood (who he later realized were assholes) and only Oikawa survived her arbitrary behavior. Look at them now.
She’d always attend their practices at Seijoh even if she was still a third year in Kitagawa Daiichi. Hajime thinks that she’s being a supportive sister, but he has a feeling that she also wanted to spend time with Mattsun and Makki, who she referred to as “really cool” when she first met them.
He doesn’t mind though. He’s just glad to get to hang out with both his friends and his sister after his practices.
One time during his second year, when she finally transferred to Seijoh, Iwaizumi mused out of nowhere that his sister was a tad bit closer to the duo than she was with Oikawa, someone she knew way before she met the two because he’s Hajime’s direct best friend. But he thought nothing of it after.
During their graduation, she cried, bidding the four of them goodbye even if he still had the rest of summer vacation to hang out with her. But then again, even if the four of them were all headed to Tokyo for college, Matsukawa and Hanamaki were enroled in a different university from him and Oikawa. Their first semester was beginning next week.
One time, when Iwaizumi got home from the gym, his sister was nowhere to be seen. Their mother told him she went over to Oikawa’s, which was STRANGE since she never really interacted with Oikawa when she didn’t need to. Even if he passed her “Worthy-Friend-For-Nii-chan” test, she still thought he was a dick.
He came over to Oikawa’s without notice, and when he came up to his room, he saw his sister crying in his best friend’s arms.
“Iwa-chan?” Oikawa was stunned to see Hajime and panicked a little because he might get the wRONG IDEA. It was a spoken agreement that he won’t lay a finger on his sister in any romantic way. Same goes with the other two, bUT WHAT DID THEY DO.
“I-I-I didn’t break her heart, Iwa-chan, I swear!”
Hajime knew his sister well, and knew that if she had a problem that she’d want him to know of, she would’ve told him wayyyy before she considered Oikawa as an option. So he just let it slide.
When he and Oikawa head out for university, Hajime made her promise to call him should she need anyone to talk to.
“Nii-chan, I’ll be fine by myself. Don’t worry.” She even offered up a convincing smile, but he knew better.
The first few months of college went by smoothly. Hajime was caught up in his studies, getting a remarkable GPA, and couldn’t give his sister a spare thought. One day, his, Oikawa’s, Makki’s, and Mattsun’s schedules cleared up and they decided to drink in the town.
Hajime was a little late to arrive, but when he did, the three of them were already discussing something among them.
Oikawa’s giving them the stink-eye. “Oh, hey, Iwa-chan. I think our two dearest friends have something to tell you!”
Hajime’s all confused, but the two of them couldn’t look him in the eye when they fess up about what was going on for the past four years.
“We both thought your sister was cute when you introduced her to us…” Makki was first to speak.
“It may or may not have become a competition of who she’s gonna end up liking back.” Mattsun’s voice was so tiny, Hajime had to go nearer for him to hear.
“And it may or may not have become a draw,” added Makki.
Hajime couldn’t catch on, but he’s already making it known that he’s getting pissed off. “What do you mean a draw?”
They share a look, probably conflicted on who should tell him, but then they say it in unison.
“We’re dating your little sister.”
Hajime didn’t need to hear anything else. Before they could even order any drinks, he bailed out on them before he could break both of their noses.
Later in the evening, his sister calls.
“Nii-chan, why haven’t you called? I know it’s hell week for you, but I got into the college where Makki and Mattsun are going!”
He’s silent for a second, but then he ends up lashing out on her at the phone. This ends up with his sister sobbing at the other end of the line, hanging up before he could say anything else.
When he calmed down, Hajime realized the gravity of his actions thus far. It was probably difficult for them to break the news to him, yet he acted brashly. He even remembered swearing to his sister that the last thing he’d do was make her cry, and he did just that.
The next day, he ditched his exams and went home to Miyagi. He went straight to Seijoh, excusing his sister from her gym class. She wasn’t thrilled to see him.
“What, you came all the way here to tell me what I can and can’t do?”
He shook his head, telling her that he’s sorry for hurting her feelings, and that as her big brother, he’s the one who should be the first one to understand her. All the signs have been there after all. He just chose to ignore them.
“If there’s anyone I could entrust my precious little sister to, it would be them.”
When his sister moves to Tokyo with him for her first year in college, it takes awhile for Hajime to completely adjust to the fact that, not only did his sister have one boyfriend, but two.
But at the end of the day, as long as she’s happy and the two of them treated her right, he’d support them.
Now, how were they gonna break the news to their parents?
wow this was basically an outline for a whole fic someone write this HAJHSJHDSJ
