Oh no, HR’s head got blurry! This one was very hard, because I couldn’t pick a prompt, none of them were inspiring me.

Actually, funny story, I had just stated that double date would be too hard and was meaningless to me when I got this idea in my head.

He’s practically bouncing in place, eyes shining in delight. She has a thousand questions, and isn’t quite sure where to start.

“I watched you d i e,” she manages finally, and he frowns.

“Wait, did you seriously think a little thing like death could keep me away from you?” It should have been ridiculously cheesy, and coming from anyone else, it would have been, but he’s always felt a bit like the romantic lead in one of those books he writes: Completely, soul-shatteringly sincere.
