Lin Yushen 林雨申 as Yang Xiao 杨逍 | Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre 2019
A first look at the new Heavenly Sword Dragon Saber 2018.
Actually looks not half bad, this is literally my all time favorite wuxia story and what got me into wuxia so I’m so nervous that it’s going to be bad.
Heavenly Sword Dragon Sabre 2019 - Yang Xiao fanmade MV
@endlessthoughtsofafangirl @drunkensword @wuxiarocks @wuxia-hero
I haven’t watched this, but Lin Yushen who acts as Yang Xiao has been getting some attention for his role. He seems really badass in this fanmade MV though.
I LOVE HIM 嘴真的好贱哈哈哈哈. I love all the micro-expressions on his face, the way the actor (he dubbed himself) brought out the finest details in his line delivery, and the 'yo' when fighting Miejue. Aso that entire scene how he described his history with Guhongzi. That whole scene was a huge display of subtext towards his enemy: "你太菜了。。。怎么还阴魂不散 *eye roll*“ and then he just HAD to emphasise that the Heavenly Sword wasn't lost by him HAHAHAHAH
The actor showed emotional depth when needed and everything was done with an appropriate dosage at an appropriate time. He has the right aura, the right carriage, the right amount of grace, the right amount of melancholy, and manages to finely balance suaveness without making Yang Xiao seem like he came out of a nightclub. Finally, we get a Yang Xiao that's good. Cue war flashbacks to the version that starred Alec Su Youpeng as Zhang Wuji.
