You guys, I think this may be my last or second to last Ipsy Glam Bag. I have sooooo much makeup and thanks to Ipsy, I also have a ton of cute little bags. It's not that I don't love it or wouldn't recommend it though, because I 100% would (esp over Birchbox)! This month I got a TON of full size items and I loved it overall. Maybe I'll keep it for one more month in December and then cancel. GAH I don't know what to do. While I pour myself over this dilemma, let's look at what I got in November's bag:
em Michelle Phan Lip Gallery Creamy Color Sheer Lipstick in "Miss Moneybag" - $16.50 (Full Size) - I am really excited to finally try something from the em line! From what I've seen on YouTube some of the stuff is a bit overpriced for the quality (life palette) but other stuff is really great (waterline eyeliner). This lipstick feels nice and it's cakey at all. I am on the fence about the color. It's a bit dark for me, but I think I'll be able to make it work this winter.
Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon in "Shameless" - $14.00 (Full Size) - I was surprised to find not one but two full size lip products in my bag this month! I won't complain about that, but I will mention that both the Bombshell Lip Crayon and em Lipsticks are kind of the same color! The crayon definitely has more sparkle, but I like the way it goes on too, very smooth and with a nice pigment of color.
Nailtini Straight Up Color Nail Lacquer in "Caviar Cocktail" - $13.00 (Full Size) - I've never tried a Nailtini polish before and I kind of wish I go the other color that came in this month's bag - more of a champagne and rose gold color. The silver might be nice for the holidays though!
Pixi Beauty Bronzer in "Subtly Suntouched" - $5.00 - This is more of a highlight than a bronzer to me, but I like it! The packaging is kind of a rubbery pot, not sure how else to describe it haha. The color payoff is subtle, but very pretty.
Starlooks Gem Eye Pencil in "Amethyst" - $14.00 (Full Size) - This is probably my least favorite item in the bag this month. At first when I swatched it on my hand I thought it would be a pretty purple liner to wear on my lower lash line. When applying it, the color doesn't really show up so I put a shadow over it and it worked fine. BUT then when I went to take my eye makeup off, I had glitter everywhere and it was really hard to get off. I think I'll keep this for only super special sparkle occasions.
HSI Professional Argan Oil - Approx value of 5ml sample: $5.06 - I am all about products that tame my insane frizz. This oil isn't too heavy and I LOVE that they used a bottle for packaging instead of a foil packet. I. Hate. Foil. Packets. cc Birchbox.
This month's bag - a cute gold snakeskin print with a wrist strap. It feels kind of papery and cheap, but it's really cute!
Total Value of November Ipsy Glam Bag: $67.56!!
That is pretty nuts considering the bag is $10.89 a month (NY state tax included) and past month's have been around $15-$20 in value. Check out what my favorite Allie Mac got in hers - love the looks of that bh Cosmetics shadow! Current verdict: I'll see what December brings and re-evaluate : )
