Jordan Price (HSS Prime MC, Main Universe): Straight + Cis Genderqueer
Jordan has only ever liked guys, but "straight" is not a set-in-stone label to her. She only feels attraction for guys, but also believes it's entirely possible she discovers herself as a different sexuality. As of now she does consider herself straight.
Jordan's presentation tends to be very fluid, she likes both masculine and feminine styles. Her relationship with femininity is a bit non-normative in that she doesn't fully perceive it as femininity, or at the very least she considers herself to be masculine even with a more feminine appearance.
She would also identify with the Virago label, being a masculine-leaning wlm who prefers heavily role-reversed relationships and is attracted to femininity in men, but it wouldn't be her main label.
Evie Ayana (OG HSS MC, Main Universe): Virago (Bi w/ heavy male preference + Cis GNC)
Evie has had a total of one girl-crush ever, Maria. Thus she knows she is capable of attraction to women. Otherwise, she far prefers guys. Her favorite way to word it is "I can be attracted to women, but any women that are attracted to me... probably shouldn't get their hopes up".
GNC/Virago probably goes without saying at this point, I think. Evie prides herself on taking on masculine appearances and roles, especially in romamtic/sexual relationships with men. Along with that, she tends to have a deep resentment for a lot of things that are considered to "define one's womanhood" or "preserve femininity". Stay tuned for more thorough analyses on this.
She definitely identifies with labels like GNC and genderqueer, but when she learns of the Virago label, I think that would become her favorite to use since her attraction to men and her GNCness are very interconnected for her.
Cher Lee (HSS:CA MC, Main Universe): Bi-Curious wlm + Gender-Creative Drag
Cher generally prefers men, but in Book 1 she gets a major unreciprocated puppy crush on Erin (not Rory, ignore what canon says) and thus she was more sure of bisexuality for herself then. Nowadays she isn't fully sure if she's seriously attracted to women, but at the same time knows her crush on Erin was real, and she's not strictly against the idea of being with a woman. So she's still figuring a lot of things out.
Cher is usually feminine-presenting, but is in-tune with masculinity, femininity, androgyny, all of it really. She likes fashion, costumes, and drag, she loves acting out all kinds of roles with her costumes– hence her love for theatre and acting.
Like Jordan, she would also identify with the Virago label, being a gendercreative woman who prefers heavily role-reversed relationships and is attracted to femininity in men, but it wouldn't be her main label.
Bear Lee (HSS:CA Twin, Main Universe): Heteroromantic Greysexual + Transmasc Man
Bear has always known he was straight/heteroromantic, but he wouldn't discover he was Greysexual until some few months after his failed relationship with Amber. As per canon, he initially rushes into relationships super quickly, and after the bad relationship experience with Amber, I imagine he would start to be more cautious and thus began to discover his identity better.
Bear began realizing himself as a trans guy from a very young age. He heavily prefers masculine appearances.

19. Do they feel responsible for any sibling’s happiness or safety?
Cher and Bear, Kimmy and Elyse, Zoe and Zaid, Jackie and Nicki: Yes but more on a basic common sense level of “family looks out for each other”. So far I don’t think either would feel more responsible than the other.
I think maybe Elyse would sometimes take more initiative in certain things since they’re more confident while Kimmy is more shy and awkward. And Zaid often finds themselves playing the “straight man” to some of Zoe’s antics.
Vivaan and Jai: Vivaan is the type to frequently put others’ needs before his own desires, and that definitely bleeds into his big brother-ness with Jai. This plus his confidence is a big reason why Jai looks up greatly to him.
Carmen and Samara: Carmen is the older sister and has a tendency towards being this cool, chill, “natural-born leader” personality, so she does gravitate greatly towards being a nurturing figure towards her. Samara, although not quite as chill and confident at the time, would gravitate towards being protective too and wanting to treat her sister the same way she gets treated.
Aidevie Kids: Luna gets very protective of Daniyal when he starts school— Aiden being the one to birth Daniyal can sometimes comes up in conversation (especially with Daniyal admiring everything his father does and loving to talk about it any chance he gets) and not all kids at school have been taught that that’s normal and okay. Both of them do get bullied for it and hence both are protective of each other— especially with Daniyal being far more confident than Luna— but Daniyal gets the bigger brunt of the bullying since he’s the one Aiden gave birth to and is the one who likes to talk about it more.
This protectiveness increases tenfold when, when Luna is 8 and Daniyal is 6, Aiden becomes pregnant with the twins. Daniyal is initially very excited about it and wants to tell his whole class, and… yeah. This could very well be the first time Luna throws a punch.
Their protectiveness would definitely carry over when Aisha and Ella are born and then start school, though it’s not as easy because by the time the twins start proper grade school, Daniyal has just started middle school, so he and Luna are kind of in a different facility by this point and aren’t exactly around enough to defend their baby sisters from any bullies. Luckily Aisha and Ella are both rather experienced in the self-defense department and definitely look out for each other well. Even if it does mean more frequent trips to the principal’s office…
Theresa, Cassandra, and Bridget (the siblings I headcanon for Aiden’s mom): Bridget is the youngest of the three, and at least in her eyes, she did perceive Cassandra as the one who should be responsible for her safety and care— cause it sure as hell wasn’t gonna come from her conservative-ass mom or model eldest child Theresa. But Cassandra would eventually run away from home due to things being bad with Theresa and their mom— on one hand, Bridget kind of understood why; but on the other hand, she felt abandoned and deprioritized by someone she otherwise admired. Not wanting to experience more abandonment, she soon became more dependent on the approval and hence care and safety of her mom and Theresa.
This may or may not have contributed to a possible parenting mindset in Bridget that if Aiden is seemingly slacking off or not the best at something, it means he doesn’t truly care about it and that he’s wasting his time with it. Why she was rather sensitive to Aiden branching out of his comfort zone and seemingly shirking his usual responsibilities.
Rachael and Hayley (children of Theresa and hence cousins I headcanon for Aiden): Rachael is the oldest of the two, and is more modest, feminine, and thus “more well behaved” according to their mom. While Hayley is more tomboyish and rebellious, and looked down upon by their mom. Rachael is made out to be the “model sibling”— but Rachael can’t stand any of it. She’s very protective of Hayley and always comes to her defense. This definitely doesn’t gain her any points with Theresa, but it doesn’t stop her from using her as an example to hold Hayley to either.
Rani, Anjali, and Otto (Evie’s birth-mom-now-distant-auntie-figure; and her sisters, AKA my LOA and THM MCs respectively): Rani is the eldest, and especially with their parents dying while they’re all pretty young (I’d say when Rani is no older than 20, Anjali is no older than 14, and Otto is no older than 10), Rani would find herself stepping up into a mother figure role for the other two sisters.
This may or may not have contributed to her complicated feelings about parenthood that she’d realize when she was pregnant with Evie— although she definitely wasn’t terrible at taking care of her sisters, she was also completely unprepared to take on that role and it was very hard on her. She thought she’d be getting her own life with Scott, and she thought at first having a kid wouldn’t be too big a deal for her— but soon she’d realize it was too much for her. Hence their amicable divorce shortly after Evie’s birth.
20. Which traits do the siblings share?
Cher and Bear both like a lot of masc affirming things— Bear being a masculine trans man and Cher being gendercreative in tune with both masculinity and femininity and the rest.
Kimmy and Elyse are both very feminine— Kimmy being a GNC guy and Elyse being transfem nonbinary— and share a lot of the same styles. Though, Kimmy leans more into cutesy fem while Elyse leans more into sporty fem. But they do share tastes in formalwear— getting identical prom dresses (with the exception of the dress colors). And hairstyles— they almost always do each other’s hair every day.
Jai looks up to Vivaan a lot— especially for his confidence and selflessness.
Carmen and Samara are both tomboyish jock types, although their sports preferences vary— Carmen being more into swimming, soccer, and running; Samara being more into wrestling and eventually football (and basketball and baseball but she doesn’t really keep those up after the first trilogy). Still, they do enjoy dabbling in each other’s sports every now and then— Samara especially enjoys swimming as a side workout and for leisure/recreation.
Aisha and Ella are both fussy, fighty (particularly with each other), and have some level of interest in sports.
Theresa and Cassandra are almost polar opposites, so not much similarities there. Bridget would pick up on a mix of both Cassandra’s more modern values and Theresa’s more traditional values— though she would, over time, start to unlearn and de-internalize a lot of the stuff she learned from Theresa.
Although Rachael and Hayley are polar opposites when it comes to gender presentation, they do both like a lot of the same stories, movies, shows, books, etc. They both also think Aiden is the Coolest Bestest Cousin Ever.
Rani, Anjali, and Otto are all GNC/butch ladies, Anjali and Otto having taken after it from Rani.

The deceptively named Humane Society for Shelter Pets (HSSP) has filed for dissolution, signaling the death of yet another one of Richard Berman’s schemes to line his pockets while undermining animal welfare.
HSSP was founded by Berman to attack the Humane Society of the United States, part of his ongoing strategy to defund the nation’s largest animal protection charity by frightening away donors. Berman selected disgruntled ex-HSUS employee Didi Culp as the figurehead of the organization.
Culp, a supposed shelter advocate who advises people to “get a better dog” from a breeder, may have seemed the ideal choice for the job. But when HSSP was exposed as a front group for Berman’s corporate clients, Culp became the subject of an ethics investigation for her improper use of Frederick County Animal Control facilities. Theorganization’s leadership fled, and Culp was left at the helm of a sinking ship.
The collapse of HSSP puts an end to Berman’s most recent attempt to deceive animal lovers. Don’t feel too badly for the millionaire tobacco lobbyist, however: Before the collapse of HSSP, Berman managed to funnel $765,483.00 of the organization’s “nonprofit” donations into his personal and corporate bank accounts. Berman has not disclosed how much Culp was paid for her services as the organization’s figurehead.
The shelters that Berman and Culp used as pawns received nothing, according to tax forms filed by the organization.
