Though Harper had technically ‘met’ her family via FaceTime and Zoom and essentially every platform Charlie had been able to think of to use when she’d been away in New York earlier in the year-- her family had still been asking her endlessly when they might get to meet Harper in person. It seemed an easier sell now that school was out and both of their schedules were a bit freer than they tended to be during the school year but Charlie was nervous to ask whether Harper would want to go back East to visit her family or if she’d want to meet them if they could all arrange to visit her in Providence Peak. She glanced at Harper from where Charlie had been lounging on her girlfriend for the better part of an hour as they watched a movie, “Hey, baby? I uh, I have a question. Or a couple of them, I guess or however many I need to try to figure this out. I should’ve practiced this in the mirror or something-- fuck. Anyway! I have a question.”
