As you may have noticed I have taken a break from making more themes. The reason is because I haven’t really had a lot of time dedicated to tumblr lately. However, this is going to change! I am working on improving my coding skills and am taking an online course in javascript. I want to come back with some fresh new better-coded, less glitchy themes for all of you to enjoy.
That being said, all my currently released themes are still available for use, but I probably won’t answer any questions related to fixing bugs in them etc. If you are thinking of asking a question about editing some part of my themes I encourage you to look at my already answered questions because most questions have already been answered (gosh I really need to create a theme question FAQ), or check out htmlqueens.

Making a simple notice box is actually pretty easy! I’ve noticed that we get a lot of questions on it, so here is a nice little tutorial giving you codes and how to make it yourself whenever you want!
Difficulty: 1/10 (I'm explaining it!)
Let's get started!
To start off, we need to make id selector (this will go under <style> in your custom theme code
#updatesbox{
}
Then add positioning. Positioning is going to determine where the box is on our screen and if it will stay put when we scroll or not.
I am going to make the box in the upper right corner so that means:

position:fixed;
top:5%;
right:5%;
}
top:5%; is what percentage it is away from the top of the screen and
right:5%; is what percentage away from the right.
Position fixed; makes it so the box will stay put as you scroll down the posts (very important).
you can use bottom, top, right and left. I use % but you can also use pixels. example: top:10px;
1px is how many pixels thick the border of the box is.
solid is the type of border (common border types are solid, dashed and dotted- more types here)
#000 is the color of the border (#000 is black) more colors here
padding changes how close the text inside your updates box is to the border of the box. 5px is usually perfect.
Now lets add the element into the html under <body>
<div id="updatesbox">Hi your updates are here</div>
EASY! You’re done. You can make it by yourself in no time!
NOTES:
You can style the words inside however you want. check out our basics tab for easy changes you can make in the text under <body> (like making words underlined or italic).

I don't mean to sound rude, but why are you listed as a queen on htmlqueens if you are never there to answer questions? Claudia is basically running the whole thing by herself
did you send this to every other queen or just me? because the fact that you think i don’t deserve to be a queen honestly ruined my day…
the blog didn’t just name itself. i had to come up with the name after tropics-connect didn’t quite fit the blog anymore. we didn’t just hit a button to change it’s appearance. i had to customize a theme to make the layout understandable and convenient for all of you. claudia wasn’t always a part of it. it started off with just my friend esme / hannah and me. i had to recruit other bloggers to help me out because htmlqueens got too popular for us to fit in answering all the messages with our busy schedules.
i have answered thousands of messages. i have created multiple tutorials. i just edited the layout of this theme. i may not answer questions anymore, but at least i asked the other queens to help me out and i still am a part of htmlqueens
i was actually in the same situation that claudia’s in right now and i feel bad, but that’s the reason why there are multiple htmlqueens. i didn’t want any one person to have to answer all the questions.
i’m applying to colleges right now. i need to keep up my grades. i’m trying to get to know everyone better before i go off to college. i don’t even have time to go on tumblr for more than an hour a day. i used to pull all-nighters answering messages but now i really need to sleep. i am a part of my school’s sports teams all year around and we have practice / games everyday. at the end of the day, i just don’t have time to spare to answer questions. it may seem unfair, but i am htmlqueens’ number one fan and have dedicated the most time to it. you just can’t see it because i’m being a behind the scenes person
i edited the elevator tab tutorial and made it prettier to look at and hopefully a easier to follow, but i'm not sure if you guys understand the format of it
so can you please go check it out and see if it's okay?
