I've been busy, and I'm taking that out on you by giving you my coping doodles of my OCs
rereading HTTE, and in the first 5 pages of luke’s introduction, zahn already does a better job characterizing luke’s fear of being the last remaining jedi, the shouldered responsibility of his burden to help rebuild the galaxy post-war, and his depression about all of it , leagues better than TLJ could’ve ever dreamed of. also hot chocolate scene my beloved
Who's daddy's precious little force-repelling baby?
kind of glad i didn’t wind up doing a htte re-read before watching ahsoka because i don’t think there were any references other than “thrawn is there” and them saying heir to the empire
Happy birthday to Thrawn! Did a rare Legends Thrawn sketch for the occasion. 💙
I've been re-reading the Legends Thrawn trilogy. Thrawn isn't only much more ruthless, but the very first description of his face is described as a "nightmare image." He's presented as someone very eerie even while being charismatic and charming in a villainous way. Han and Leia both get "chills" when seeing him. Pellaeon prides himself on being able to hold Thrawn's gaze -- something most aren't able to do because of his featureless glowing eyes. Which is telling on how others are creeped out by him.
Thrawn is most alien in Legends. In canon I felt like I was reading about an emotionless Vulcan or blue Data.
I prefer Legends!Thrawn because I find that version to be much more interesting.
Ugh when did Heir to the Empire become canon again or is the High Republic novels fucking with me??
