How Old is Hiccup the Second?

It’s passages like this that make me wonder how old Hiccup the Second was when he died. I personally believe that he was probably an adult — which, during in Viking Age, was anywhere between 12-16 depending on the regions, though the common average was 14 — probably just in his twenties. By the way the Witch Excellinor described Hiccup the Second, he sounded like he was around that age, or at least close to it.
There have been some who have speculated Hiccup the Second to have been the same age as Hiccup when he died — 14-years-old. However, unfortunately, Cressida Cowell has neglected to prove anything concerning Hiccup the Second’s age. What I would LOVE to see is for her to write us a prequel series, where we get to see the lives of Hiccup the First and Hiccup the Second and their dragons. I would PAY LOTS OF MONEY to read those! XD
Unfortunately, one can never BE so lucky. :’( So I guess I’m going to have to make them myself... as fanfictions. ^_^
