Since the day I finished Little mushroom I have desperately needed to see a fanart of that one scene towards the end with Hubbard and Tanlang falling down together in the light of the dawn.
I mean it felt so beautiful, sweet and majestic reading it but I couldn't find any illustration or fanart of it, and when it comes to drawing I'm only good at copying references, so I never did it myself.
BUT NOW SEVEN SEAS IS REPUBLISHING LITTLE MUSHROOM?????? And MAYBE there will be an illustration of that scene?!!?!!!??
When I found out about this I started to jump around my house like a crazy kangaroo since I couldn't buy the PFH volumes in time. I only hope that the translation will be good because I'm kinda fond of the PFH one (even though I'm not really one to judge since I don't know Chinese).
Anyway seven seas is making me broke, HELP
Flannel backed printed cotton mother hubbard, c. 1890s
Augusta Auctions
Checked on my squash storage today - all but a big hubbard doing good. Theyre stored in an outbuilding in a bin with plenty of air circulation but no holes larger than 1/4" so mice cant enter.
I had twice as many, been chipping away at them over winter. Only one going (after 3-4 months!) is a hubbard that was pulled a bit early, which makes sense. Cut the top off and gave it to the worms, took the rest in to process
Tons of great hubbard slices, half of which I froze for now, that I'll eat for dinner tonight. Seeds washed and saved. Guts and skin will be made into dog food.
Love to be able to save squash and pumpkins and be eating them in near February
Give your wife some sugar, Hubby~
Just thinking about how everyone (who survived anyway) would know what An Zhe did for humanity. Thinking about how everyone had heard of Lu Feng, even those in the Underground base. Just thinking about how everyone knows about these two, but no one will know about Hubbard and Tang Lan. No one understood why Hubbard left his cushy main city position for the outer city. No one will ever know that he saved the turbines. No one will know that Tang Lan gave up his chance to be saved just to hold Hubbard's hand one last time. They truly became heroes but no one will know.
No one aside from each other,,,,
"Individual herosim" indeed. I'm so emotional. See, no one will know they got their happy ending. After all, "How could there be something so good?" But they know. They know. They know what they did, and they know what the other did, and that is so much more than enough for them.
