Edelgard: I did something bad.
Hubert: It doesn't matter. I have a shovel.
Edelgard: What do you think I did?
Hubert: It doesn't matter. No one will ever know.

Edelgard: I did something bad.
Hubert: It doesn't matter. I have a shovel.
Edelgard: What do you think I did?
Hubert: It doesn't matter. No one will ever know.
Hubert: You are so quiet around me. It is almost as if you do not trust me.
Also Hubert: I would not mind ending your life, if I had been ordered to do it.
Lord Vestra, I am writing to you regarding some disciplinary action I should take as a butler against one of my employees. As you well know, the old Imperial Palace is crawling with mice. In order to remove them, I have taken the initiative to elevate a house cat to the prestigious position of Imperial Mousecatcher. And while Meowbert von Vestra has been doing its job admirably, he also has the unfortunate tendancy to leave its still-agonizing preys on the doorstep of Her Imperial Majesty's chambers. This is the ninth "gift" he's left her bedroom this week alone. With Her Imperial Majesty's phobia of rats being an open secret, such a situation cannot be allowed to continue. I've admonished Meowbert to no avail. You are the manager of the Imperial Household; with your blessing, I would terminate Meowbert's contract and replace him with his immediate subordinate, Purrnadetta von Varley. What do you think?
I suspect Ferdinand would be the better consult in this situation, given his disposition towards animal care.
But for the sake of Her Majesty, I am glad to give my contribution here. The Vestra cat is best suited to barn or dungeon living, where the death throes of a mouse are non-disruptive. Your Varley candidate is the clear option for service in more domestic areas, if only because there is a chance she will be more inclined to demonstrate mercy for the mice and Lady Edelgard alike. We know that Vestra will not, so there is nothing to be gained from his continued service in his current capacity.
Therefore, I propose this Vestra cat is relocated to a farmer trusted by the crown or simply relegated to the dungeons. Our prisoners warrant the same protection from disease as anyone, wouldn’t you agree? If they must watch the mice fade from life, then all the better to remind them what awaits those who stand against Her Majesty.
Such a tease. Alright, if your up for it I've been whorin for a vorin. Climb on in...

Ferdinand: Hello, Hubert. Made anyone cry today?
Hubert: Sadly, no. But its only 4:30.
Hubert: Don't worry, I've got a few knives up my sleeve.
Ferdinand: I think you mean tricks.
Edelgard: He did not.
Hubert, pulling out knives: I did not.
