Tiara Exhibition in Shenzhen
A new exhibition titled ‘Awaken: Royal Jewellery Arts from Renaissance to the 20th Century’ opens today at the Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art in Shenzhen, China. It is being put on in partnership with Sotheby’s and will be open until 1 March 2020. You can find out more about visiting here. The exhibition will feature thirteen royal tiaras and I’ll update when I find out more of them.

Jewels from the Bourbon Parma family including some that belonged to Queen Marie Antoinette of France will be auctioned at Sotheby’s on 14 November 2018 in Geneva.
Diamond Tiara made for Princess Maria Anna of Bourbon Parma née Archduchess of Austria by Köchert in 1903, estimate 80,940 - 121,410 USD
Fleur de Lys Tiara made for Princess Maria Anna of Bourbon Parma née Archduchess of Austria by Hübner in 1912, estimate 354,113 - 556,463 USD
Before being sold the jewels will be part of a traveling exhibition.
