This project was self initiated for a Skillshare class on custom lettering. The Company is a fictional Social Union of Hudson Valley Hiking Enthusiasts. 

My task was to develop a simple custom lettered logo with a rustic / vintage feel 

I started with some very loose layout sketches, which turned in to the more refined sketches above, before eventually turning in to a full vector version. 

I played around with different lettering styles and layouts before eventually settling on the final product. It was really tough to and time consuming to so all the subtext lettering, so I basically just studied the anchor points on a font I liked, and recreated it with some minor adjusting. 

From there I roughed it up and put some texture to it, then put together some basic display images.
