Zecember Day 22/25: Huecycles Dess/Gaster

Using @huecycles Dessign and Gaster here, obviously

You know who suffered more than Jesus? Huecycles' Dessign. For those unaware, this is what I would argue is the single most iconic Dessign, largely because of her inclusion in the infamous Bergentruck meme. To set the record straight, Bergentruck gets her design wrong. A big part of Huecycles' Dessign is that she doesn't have antlers. The antlers here are a shadow projection as shown sometimes in their art.

She also has this nefarious Gaster design, who I drew up as well as I'm long overdue for a proper Gaster piece. I tried to draw him quite differently than Dess herself since I like the idea of Gaster being so fucked he has the Tenna artstyle dissonance thing going on. Gaster is my favorite Undertale character, and Dess sits only behind Noelle as my favorite Deltarune character, so making a piece of these cryptic characters together was especially me-coded.

Funny Story 22: Huecycles has a pre-fall Gaster design that's an axolotl (based?) However, you can't really make him compatible with Dess in the darkness, and since this is Zecember, not Gastercember, I had to pivot over to her "normal" Gaster design. But perhaps pre-fall axolotl Gaster will be drawn some day...

practicing animating pre-existing art!! used the amazing huecycles’ expressions they drew of halojack as key frames and animated over it!! Super fun and helpful exercise, took me a few hours. Definitely good experience if I get a freelance job w animating keyframes/storyboards
