the way theseus’ hug with newt changes from the first movie to the second… the first one is kinda a “i missed you but also this is mostly just to warn you that the ministry is watching you” and the second one is a “a lot just happened and i lost my love so this is really comforting thank you. also i miss being close with you”

What kind of huggers are the characters?

Gael is a hugger in general. They love physical contact, so they also give a lot of hugs. In a romantic sense, they keep it soft and snuggly, maybe give a kiss on the curve of their lover's neck...

Flann's hugs are tight and strong, very bear-like. They wrap their muscled arms around their lover's entire body and squeeze them a bit. They also unconsciously like to hold the back of their lover's neck.

Neli is a shy lover, so their hugs are controlled as if they're constantly assessing how welcome they are in someone's arms, but once they relax, it's a soft, intimate hug. They'll also rest their head on their lover's body (chest, shoulder, or top of the head depending on their height difference) just to get a little bit closer.
