Haj Committee of India के CEO बने प्रयागराज के याकूब शेख प्रयागराज के उग्रसेनपुर निवासी याकूब शेख को हज कमेटी आफ इंडिया का सीईओ बनाया गया है। वे शुरू से ही पढ़ाई-लिखाई में अव्वल रहे। इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय से 2004 में ग्रेजुएशन और 2006 में राजनीति विज्ञान से पोस्ट ग्रेजुएशन की डिग्री ली। यहीं से पीएचडी भी की। भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा 2011 बैच के अधिकारी याकूब शेख को नई जिम्मेदारी मिली है। अल्पसंख्यक कार्य मंत्रालय की ओर से जारी निर्देश के मुताबिक उन्हें हज कमेटी आफ इंडिया का नया सीईओ बनाया गया है। मूलत: प्रयागराज के रहने वाले याकूब इससे पहले लंबे समय तक भारतीय रेल सेवा से जुड़े रहे। वर्तमान समय तक वह सीनियर डीएफएम के पद पर कार्यरत थे। नई नियुक्ति के बाद अब जल्द ही वह मुंबई स्थित हज कार्यालय से जुड़ेंगे। प्रयागराज के उग्रसेनपुर निवासी याकूब शेख शुरू से ही पढ़ाई-लिखाई में अव्वल रहे। जिला पंचायत इंटरमीडिएड कालेज से उन्होंने 12वीं की परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण की। इसके बाद इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय से 2004 में ग्रेजुएशन और 2006 में राजनीति विज्ञान से पोस्ट ग्रेजुएशन की डिग्री ली। जीएन झा छात्रावास के अंत:वासी रहते हुए उन्होंने इलाहाबाद विश्‍वविद्यालय से ही पीएचडी भी की। भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा जुड़ने का सपना लेकर याकूब ने 2007 में दिल्ली का रुख किया। वहां जीजान से जुटकर तैयारी की। लगातार दो बार मुख्य परीक्षा में शामिल होने के बाद तीसरे अवसर (2011) में वह आइआरएस बने। इसके बाद भारतीय रेल सेवा में बिलासपुर (छत्तीसगढ़) में बतौर डीएफएम उन्हें पहली नियुक्ति मिली। दो भाइयों में छोटे याकूब लंबे संघर्ष को भी जिया है। विपरीत हालात में चुनौतियों को पारकर वह इस मुकाम तक पहुंचे हैं। #hujj #prayagrajcity #rashidjamal https://www.instagram.com/p/CTrvYFaJaCO/?utm_medium=tumblr
