feel like the process of drawing regular Battat consists of wondering if you should give him a more dice-like headshape with detailed edges, then finding out it looks ugly as hell.

Chapter 2 is already out btw, forgot to update on here. My designs aren't really tied to the story, fyi. Just having fun.

FUN FACT: I actually predicted the coming of the Mike fic with this one guys!

But seriously, I drew all of this before the See No Evil fic of the It’s! Hu! Man! Tiiiime! AU series came out (which is also why the transformation backstory is highkey different from what’s been published).

Drawing fanart for this series forced me to imagine several characters as humans, and that included Battat/Mike! I decided to design 3 Pippins as a pair of triplets, two of which were your standard gambler-type Pippins, and the third being Battat. I actually really ended up liking how they came out, especially Battat, and with how angsty Tenna’s transformation was, I couldn’t help but make him suffer too! Turns out, so did @voidilite-singulartis lol.
