“It’s time,” Rip murmured as the device sputtered to life. Hopefully, he could portal through this like a breach and get back to 2019 if his calculations for parameters were correct. Ever since the time drive detonated and blasted him back to the Vanishing Point, he’d been searching for a way to leave since all the remaining timeships had been damaged. “Ready, Gideon?”

There was no answer as a beam shot out to create a breach. Yet again, he remembered that he was actually all alone. Oh, he wished he could hear her voice again. Then he’d go and make everything right between them properly without any self-sacrifice.

“Here I go,” he said before running into the breach.

As soon as he went through, everything became a blinding white. He felt the ground beneath him vanish and then the sensation of falling. Rip had no idea where he was going, but the light was too bright. He closed his eyes, hoping he’d find Gideon.

He felt impact on his right side and rolled on instinct. There was ground beneath his back and he could breathe, so those were two good signs. As he opened his eyes, he realized he was back on the Waverider. Rip couldn’t help by smile, happy to see his ship again as he climbed to his feet.

Something whirred behind him. He whirled around to see a group of people who were most definitely not the Legends, despite seeming to have similar powers. He recognized Henry Heywood, Laurel Lance, Anna Loring, Ronnie Raymond, and Lisa Snart from seeing their pictures or meeting them in person. He wasn’t familiar with the other man standing with them, but it was clear that something wasn’t right if Anna was in the Atom suit and Ronnie was on fire.

His focus shifted when a new woman stepped to the front of the group. Rip couldn’t help but stare at her. She looked exactly the same as she had in his head, only she wore a long black coat and her hair was pulled back instead of loose. The fact that she was here in flesh and blood almost made him not see her point a gun at him.

“I’d stop gaping and just tell me who you are and why you’re on my ship,” Gideon demanded. “Otherwise this is going to get messy.”
