So, the other day, I saw at least one or two posts floating around theorizing that Wirt from Over The Garden Wall grew up to be the father of the Pines Twins.

So my brain was like ‘Take that... and add in the popular theory about OTGW’s Greg and Greg Universe being the same character, the idea about Steven stopping by Gravity Falls during his travels at the end of the series, and just a TOUCH of the ‘Lantern Song AU’ by @imaginashon (the main difference here being that Greg is the twins’ dad, instead of Wirt), and what I ended up with was a (hopefully) slightly different take on the triad that is ‘Steven Falls Over’.

I’m likely not going to do anything with this crossover/AU idea besides this one drawing...after all, I’m already juggling three AUs, PLUS a webcomic—this was just a fun little idea I had l, that I wanted to try drawing out. Though I will admit...the thought of Steven being more protective of Dipper and Mabel because he’s actually their older cousin DOES make the idea just a little sweeter.
