The Dinosovians are Here to Stay, But Who Are They?

It is June. I’m in a medium-sized dance studio in uptown Chicago. I’m here to meet the past, face-to-face, but I’ve forgotten my stepladder. The past’s ambassador is seven foot seven inches tall, has a foot long muzzle filled with razor-sharp teeth, and equally sharp talons.

She’s also a person. This is my first time meeting a Dinosovian. I am unsure of the etiquette,but thankfully one of us has done their research. She pushes her hand into mine and shakes it. Her name is Deinah Keenfoot. It is a translation, she tells me. Her real name would take a piccolo to recreate. 

We sit down to talk.

Tales of Nagas can be found in Hindu, Buddhist and Jainist legends and in the mythology and folklore of many Southeast Asian peoples.

In Hindu traditions, they are frequently described as chthonic deities, or agents of the Underworld, or being associated with water, especially water that comes from underground.

They live in the netherworld called Patala, which is the beautiful underworld of Hinduism.

They could be a positive or negative force in different tales, but were also portrayed as very clever and enormously powerful. They often stood as guardians, and made ferocious defenders of items the gods had given them to protect.

However outside of their guard duties, their actions tended towards the benevolent, or at least neutral

They could be coldly calculating, but also their tremendous intelligence made them more likely to think before acting, carefully weighing their options and decisions.

Cold-Bloods (Amphibians, Arachnids, Insectoids, and Reptilians)

⸸ Simplistic. For a Cold-Blood, the only thing that matters is themselves, and anything that might be of benefit to them.

Because when you are incapable of bonding and compassion, the only thing you can care about really is yourself. Damn everything and everyone else that gives you the slightest inconvenience.

⸸ For us warm-blooded humans, it would be difficult to comprehend their way of thinking. For one thing, their brains lack that part that allows social creatures to feel things like parental instinct, conscience, remorse, and sadness.

⸸ These anthropomorphs are so emotionally oblivious that things that seem obvious to us would be incomprehensible for them. They would look at us, warm-bloods, suffering and grieving over our losses, fighting tirelessly everyday against our inner demons...

⸸ ...and all these psychopaths have to say is, "Wow...That sucks...I'm really sorry for you...Moving on though—"

⸸ Because of their total disregard for anyone that isn't themselves, one might wonder as to why there are any anthropomorphs that bother to live among society. You know, where there will definitely be a lot of warm-bloods that preach things like 'kindness' and 'love'.

⸸ While there are many reasons for this, it all really boils down to how much easier it is to do things in groups.

⸸ Say, there is a feral Wolf wrecking havoc in town. Obviously, you aren't going to fight a ten-foot tank loaded on testosterone and aggression by yourself, so you team up with other people to make surviving easier.

⸸ So ironically, there are more Cold-Bloods in the world that prefer living in groups as opposed to solitary Warm-Bloods that live off the grid.

⸸ Because most of these anthropomorphs are probably someone's worst nightmare, Cold-Bloods usually live low. They don't reveal their true identity to just anyone, and even the Authorities allow them to present as humans (so long as they don't abuse their cover).

⸸ Because of how resented some of them are, professional killers dubbed as 'Pest Control' are sometimes hired to 'exterminate' them.

⸸ The only Cold-Bloods confident enough to live without cover are the apex predators.

⸸ Because when you can turn into a twenty-foot long python with the grip strength of a car crushing you to death...only crazy people and other fellow apexes would be brave enough to fuck with you.

Anyway, these are the general headcanons for Cold-Bloods.

(Also, I know there are real cold-blooded animals that defy one or two of these things, but lemme just explain that in the headcanons I make for that specific anthropomorph.)
