As a Human, I enjoy having fingers and toes. High five! For five fingers!
What will happen in the future? Do you think it will be better than today?
I'm thinking about different disabilities to give characters and the inherent horror of "fixing" disabilities in fantasy.
Specifically I'm thinking about "reverse" disabilities. A character so used to getting around without aid for their disability that when it's magically "fixed" they need aids to help their unfamiliar body.
A zombie gets turned human and now needs a cane because their weight and center of gravity are completely off from their rotted form.
An Ex-cyborg who frequently collapses from hunger or exhaustion because they no longer have sensors to tell them what they need.
A science experiment feeling phantom pain from their missing wings/tail/extra body part.
A robot in human form having chronic pain because everything in a human body is painful compared to an invulnerable shell with no pain receptors.
An Ex Hive Mind struggling with becoming singular and being utterly alone for the first time.
Idk, just the thought of someone deciding to "fix" you and that in itself becoming a disability
ummmmm. i dont have any weirdly personal questions.. um. ok. what is your most loved trait and/or the trait you find most interesting in animals. mine is the grippy feet that a lot of rodents have, but bat wings/ears (as a combo) and fish that swim in schools are tied for second place
I like the traits that separate humans from other species of primates! not because I don't want to be associated (I do. primate city forevertown) but because it's just so fascinating. bright white scleras for terrifyingly high contrast eyes in comparison to the super dark scleras of chimps, because looking at faces and eyes is so important for a lot of our social communication... smiles that indicate happiness instead of fear or discomfort.... the crazy long manes we can grow AND the baffling variation in phenotype presentation despite our shockingly small genetic variation! thank you gingers thank you people with coily hair thank you dark brown eyes and crazy bright hazel eyes etc. it's fascinating!
you were probably looking for an answer pertaining to nonhuman animals! but I just love these weird great apes so much. I can't help but talk about them
God, humans are so hot. I love uhhh.. their.. viscera and fluids?? I love how they are uh.. hairy.. and have uhm.. pores!!
I sure do love fleshy, fleshy humans. I love the way they intake oxygen and emit carbon dioxide. I really just can’t get enough of em’.
In fact, I love humans so much, this blog is no longer a robotgirl, robotfucker, objectum blog, it’s a.. humangirl, humanfucker, fleshum blog. Oh boy!! I sure do love being a cisgender, heterosexual, human-lover!! 🫀
i like having eyes in front of my head #predator
HUMAN FAN GROUP: Southern Krytans
huge thanks to NOT SAFE FOR GORK server for input and name ideas! also this was hugely inspired by @ratasum and their fanlore about asura cities.
THE WHYS
So! I am the Human Girlie in this fandom, right, and it's been a hot second since I made any fanlore. I usually dabble in small, worldbuilding and culture headcanons and rarely do I make full blown things such as this. However, little things build up and I have this whole set of cohesive headcanons about Kryta and Ascalon, and there's always more human lore for me to dig my hands into.
I also happened to make a Latina-inspired oc I wanna port to gw2, but find no corresponding equivalents, even in my own extensive worldbuilding, so the world is my oyster and I decided to make new stuff.
THE WHERES
See this lil blurred piece of the map, between Kessex Hills, Gendarran Fields and Claw Island? That lil waypoint is stupidly deceiving so in my head, this is where we enter the County of Greenriver Bay, or in the local dialect, Verderio.
Ruled, of course, by a Count/Countess of Greenriver. Do keep in mind, since my Kryta is inspired by France and therefore, speaks French, this would be Comte(sse) de Rivert, but we're not working with French here.
THE WHOS and THE WHENS
The fact that certain frequencies cause flight or fight within humans is so interesting to me…and turians. Imagine a turian, still not quite used to humans, still learning about them. He’s suprised to find that they are more receptive to turian subvocals than other species. Where the indication of danger or stress may come from talking or in the krogans case, smell, humans can understand the subvocal frequencies pretty well. Mainly it causes more panic than effective communication, but they know something’s wrong and they’ll need to either fix it or deal with it.
It’s useful in the field when words sometimes fail a turian. Or whenever a human gets cuddly and he feels too much love and comes out in an overwhelming purr and chirps. It’s nice knowing something out there can understand them just a bit deeper.
Asari being the feels and emotions race my ass. Crack a turian open and they’re overflowing with emotions.
