I really thought that Leo was going to either disappear or die in the end. The closer we got to the Zarc duels, the more I thought that, because I figured it would take a lot for Leo to even come close to redemption. I figured it would take a long time, and as we were getting close to the end, that it would probably be easier to just kill him off.

But no, he doesn’t have to redeem himself at all. Just express regret. Because saying sorry fixes everything, right?

The counterparts staying fused? I can dig it. Shun never again seeing Ruri and Yuto as they were? Tragic, but purposeful. Leo the War Criminal getting off scott free? Realistic, but without a clear message behind it. War criminals getting away shouldn’t be presented as a matter of forgiveness.

My dude, tell me how I’m still scratching my head over how old Go is suppose to be? He’s oddly ageless. I feel like he could be anywhere from 18 to 35.

But assuming he’s still young enough to go to school with everybody...? Like, does he refuse to wear the uniform? Does he wear a highly modified version of the uniform? Does he not wear a shirt to school? Tbh I could see Go going shirtless even to the most formal of events.

But yeah, that beefcake is gonna surprise some people, for sure. Yusaku and Aoi look super unassuming (Yusaku’s hair aside) irl, so maybe that’s speaking to the culture of their world? And Go not conforming to that is def gonna turn some heads. He seems confident enough to pull it off, though... like out of everyone/all the factions, he’s the only one so far who looks like he doesn’t have anything to hide.

Hey Clockie! Have you seen the S7 trailer? What are your theories for next season based on it if you have?

I have seen the s7 trailer, and a bunch of other fun tidbits floating around (I just watched the released gameshow bit) so here’s all my speculative goodness:

I expect we’re not going to get a solid answer on Lotor for, at bare minimum the first half of the season. I could see an exception if we get a The Journey-styled episode focusing on Lotor alone without the team realizing it.

Given the shots of the battle-scarred generals in different outfits and someone who sounds rather like Acxa saying “No one has seen you since your fight with Lotor” I think this is where the time skip pod occurrence Kimberly Brooks mentioned a while ago- the paladins are going to go missing for a short period of time and the Generals, as the only people who walked away from that fight, have some time to take power for themselves and emerge as a faction opposing the flame of purification.

I still like the theory that the Generals might try to steal Voltron to reopen the rift and go retrieve Lotor- they’re unlikely to go back to unquestioningly following him, but there’s a point where I think they’d hesitate to just leave him for dead and it’d set up a nice conflict with the heroes who kinda need Voltron. Also, Lion Theft opens up a lot of interesting opportunities, especially if the Generals can actually succeed at it in a way the empire hasn’t been able to because they’re worthy enough- can play by the virtues of the Lions.

Haggar’s likely going to be moving further into main antagonist role as indicated by the presence of druids. If I’m right that druids are Alteans, possibly Alteans who’ve been modified or harvested somehow, Haggar being aware of the colony and everyone else being distracted / limited in their ability to get there is gonna be very bad news indeed.

Regarding the Game Show- I think this is a total misunderstanding. I think Bob’s show is stocked with impersonators- given current events it would be an incredible novelty to have passable imitators of the paladins and the main faces of the galra empire duking it out.......... on a gameshow. Hence why Zarkon isn’t in his Medical Steel when if anything, actual death and reanimation would make his condition even worse, but he’s instead in his much more widely recognized wine red armor.

Except Morvok. I want that to be really Morvok. He isn’t recognizable enough to really have any business being there and he probably didn’t run back to the empire because Zarkon enforces Victory Or Death and Morvok chose “neither”. So that’s my theory: the Galra Team (tm) on Bob’s show consists of Morvok and three actors which Bob is making look and sound convincingly like Zarkon, Haggar, and Lotor using his apparent mastery of this game show space.

But either way, I think the “misunderstanding” is Bob doesn’t think these are the real paladins- he put out an ad for Paladin Impersonators and thinks these guys are just really committed / well-funded actors. It’s possible he’s more actively malicious, but, again, with the obvious peculiarity of Zarkon, Haggar, and Lotor not reacting like they should-(Zarkon and Haggar are entirely too amenable and only really play up their “villainy” where it’s convenient for the show, with Zarkon calling Morvok an insignificant subordinate- he’s got no problem with Bob, a non-galra. For Lotor, Lotor doesn’t react to Allura and is responding very pettily which, we’ve seen Lotor act, and we’ve seen Lotor put up a harmless front to lower Zarkon’s suspicion, and it doesn’t look like this)-I’m inclined to believe this whole thing is staged and fake, and either Bob cares more about ratings than the fate of the universe and has no qualms grabbing the paladins for his gig, or, more likely, he assumes the paladins are also fakers and is so pushy about the show he hasn’t given them an opportunity to prove themselves the genuine article.

This makes me happy I’ve ascended to become a multishipper instead of being stick in like one ship mentality. Rarely do ship discourse gets to me cause there is honeslty very few things I WOULDN’T ship the only ones I don’t have to really squick me.I never understand the mentality behind ship wars it’s really dumb that you’ll fight someone for something they enjoy.

Except for two ships, really I am not exactly a multishiper but would have no problem understanding and liking several ships. And even the ones I dislike heavily I make a point not to even reveal which they are and just move past them if I come across them. I hate people trying to shit on someone else's shipping cereal.

I just don't have much faith over how the fandoms behave these days.
