Please can we just try to get along?
We have one season of Voltron left, one time we will ever be watching new Voltron Legendary Defenders content for the first time, we only have three months left together (not including this month) before more people leave and only a few of us are left. I know this fandom has brought a lot of sh*t, especially because of ships, and I'm not going to lie I despise anyone who has ever threatened a fan, creator, or voice actor of the show.
But I also love this fandom, I mean people create amazing content for their favorite characters, ships, or OC's, whether it be fanfiction, fan art, theories, or even songs. And I know that people have been able to make friends that may last a lifetime.
Look what I'm trying to say is, Voltron has been an amazing show, it's always been there for me when I've had one of those dark days, and it takes me back to when times were simpler (she says as if she is a 90-year-old but is barely 15), I have gotten closer with my friends over the show theorising and talking about our favourite characters and even laughing over silly ships that we know will never become canon, but still have fun shipping them anyway, and I hope to make some more friends in the little time we have left together.
Just promise me you'll enjoy it okay? I know it sounds silly how serious a 15-year-old girl sounds about a show that is directed at 8-year-old boys, but years later you're going to look back and think about the show, maybe you're watching the show for the first time with your kid, or maybe it just popped into your head one day, and you'll fall in love with the characters and the story all over again, and you'll think of the fandom and how crappy some parts were, but also how great some parts could be, maybe how you became friends with the person who was the best man at your wedding or the girl that is now like a sister to you, who you never would have seen yourself becoming friends with because of something as stupid as a ship.
Can we just all please try to get along please, and then we don't ever have to see each other's profiles again unless we meet in another fandom which hopefully won't be ruined.
I know this is a mess but it's late, and I'm tired, and I get emotional when I'm tired and I don't make sense, I'll shut up now.
