“Keith, wait!” Lance called, running up to his friend and grasping onto his arm. “I have a question.”

“What is it, Lance?” Keith asked, running a hand through his hair. “We have stuff to do, you know…”

“Have you ever been to prom?”

Keith was bewildered. There was no better way to describe his expression. “I’m sorry, what? We’re in space right now, and you’re asking if I’ve been to prom?”

“Yes or no, Mullet?” Lance smirked. “C’mon, tell me!”

“...no.”

“Well, then, Samurai, will you go to Vol-prom with me?” 

Keith stood there, face twisted in confusion. “I’m… sorry?”

“Awkward,” they heard Pidge laugh in the background.

“Jesus, man, I’m asking you out.” Lance facepalmed. “Will you go on a date with me?”
