Being a Hunger Games kin while living in America is feeling very...ominous right now. Actually it's been feeling ominous for a while but this really takes the cake. I'd make a "may the odds be ever in your favor!" joke but I honestly want to cry right now. Sure, it's not a "fight to the death," thing but the announcement feels way too close to comfort. Panem was always supposed to be North America in the future. I feel helpless. I wish I could just be the Mockingjay and the symbol that I was back then and put a stop to all of this-not just these stupid games but everything happening right now. i did archery for the first time ever today. i didn't hit bullseye but i was pretty satisfied with my aim for someone's first time, only one arrow missed the target. i got told "ok, katniss everdeen 🙄" by my friend, haha.
