Today’s Autographed Album August entry: Todd Rundgren’s classic Something/Anything. I chose this because I’ve been getting ready to go on vacation, reminding me of how I brought this LP all the way from NY to Hawaii back in 2011 to get it signed. We had set up the trip months earlier and a week before we left, I realized I’d be missing out on Record Store Day, the annual event where all the record labels bring out limited edition vinyl. I figured there had to be a vinyl shop somewhere in Hawaii so I hopped on the net and discovered that not only was Hungry Ear Records doing it, but they had Todd (a local) coming in to do a signing that day. Somewhere I have an awesome photo they took of us together but I’m too lazy to find it. It was a great day, a great shop and Todd was a great guy.
