I'm never not gonna be annoyed that "Perc'ahlia" ended up becoming the default ship name for Vex/Percy when there were many other better options.

It's almost 3am & I'm emotional about the VM wedding so naturally I've just started thinking about a Perc'ahlia Queen's Theif AU. I just... can't decide who I want to be Gen. They've both got enough "impossible is for other people", but Percy is more the jackass. On the other hand Percy as Attolis having had all his family die & being shuffled into a political marriage feeling trapped and angry is v good. Also Vax would make such a good Helen "are you SURE"ing at Vex about the plan

ooooooh that’s so tough. On one hand, the Keyleth-Percy dynamic would work REALLY well with Keyleth as Eddis and Percy as her Thief? But I think such a core aspect of Attolia and her plot is that she’s alone, or at least, she thinks she is (even with Relius, Teleus and the whole guard, all her ladies...) and I can no more separate Vax from Vex than I can call down the sun, so...yeah. And then there’s the issue that Vax is really the thief, isn’t he...but in terms of characters, it’s by far better that Vax is Eddis and Percy Attolis, his whole family killed around him, building these terrible weapons because anything he can do to protect his country...and Vex the Thief of Eddis and Keyleth the young and untried heir of Sounis...maybe not a bunny but a kitten, and a killer at need...

For gender dynamic reasons, I don’t like to take the thrones of Eddis and Attolia away from the incredible queens, but g o d wow okay just...

Vex: I’m not my brother. People don’t just give me their hearts.Keyleth, internally: ??? I would hand you my heart on a toothpick??

oh no, oh god. Vex with a hand to her side to hide the blood, meeting Percy in the courtyard and pulling him down into a kiss, and he lets her, leans into it like a man happy only to kiss his wife. Vex (one-handed) pulling Percy into a dance, spinning him around her, and plucks the pins from his cloak with each turn until it it spins out with him (the mercurial queen the weight at the center of the earth, the king in his red cloak a fire in the wind)

people keep saying Percy was there to drink and cautiously talk but honestly I think he was just as DTF as Vex, just he wasn’t sure if they were There yet so he brought liberal quantities of booze to loosen the mood...and Vex was like, nope darling, we are so There that I am NUDE (and flawlessly beautiful) AS A RENAISSANCE STATUE
