Perc’ahlia Week Countdown - Day 6 !!

I FINALLY POSTED TWICE IN ONE DAY !! I also learned there's a surprising amount of suggestive aesthetic posts on Pinterest.

Day Six — Yours / Later

There's not as much brainstorming this time, given how vague and expansive these prompts can be, but the @percahliaweek mods have a couple ideas just as examples!:

Yours

"It's yours" c1 e69, of course, and related tie-ins (c1 e63/TLoVM e8, Dalen's Closet, etc.)

"I'm yours and you're mine" sentiments, giving gifts, babies/pregnancy reveals, wearing each other's clothes

Finding childhood objects and things, thief/crime/villain AUs ("Oh, was this money yours?" kind of deal)

Later

"We'll talk later" (c1 e72), the resulting Later Talk (c1 e78)

Post-campaign shenanigans, talking about their futures, c1 e95 "One Year Later...", Perc'ahlia in their older years

"We'll talk later" as a code word for "I'm going to jump your bones later", same thing with "courage" ;)

Day 6 of Perc'ahlia Week will be Friday, September 29th!! I'm running out of things to say for these posts, but know that I'm still bouncing with excitement !!

Today’s tea: Aedyran Blue, a blend for Aloth Corfiser from Pillars of Eternity.

So, after 852 days of participating in the CommuniTEA and a 409 day streak of posting my daily photos there, I’m taking a break from it. It was certainly fun and I got to try some interesting new teas...but the flip side is that I have a lot of other teas in my house going undrunk, and I need to resume drinking down the stash. So I did not order this month’s CommuniTEA box, but I’ll still be posting daily tea and knit photos here, only with tea from my stash. Most of it is my own fandom blends, including today’s Aloth tea, which is a blend of earl grey and blueberry - two things that go together as delightfully as Aloth and my elf rogue Lenneth ;-D

Today’s knit: I’m almost done with the blue half of the Perc’ahlia cowl! Once I have ten of those little purl ridges that create the texture on this section, then I switch to the grey/beige yarn and start lace that is meant to resemble the architecture of Whitestone Castle. <3

i know this is super old, but for the crit role/lotr crossover you wrote, what was your plan for percy? (my instant thought on who he might be was saruman, but more reasonably i'm guessing he would have been eowyn?)

It’s difficult to travel incognito across open plains with a bear, so they didn’t try. They stopped before the Riders could get to them and let themselves be circled, and when Vex put her hand on her bow and Vax fingered a dagger hilt, Keyleth put her hands on both their shoulders and stepped forward. “Riders of Rohan! What news?”

The blond young man at the head of the company kept his hand on his sword, and leaned forward over his horse’s neck only warily. “I should ask the same of you. What brings two elves, a bear, and a woman to the Western mark of Rohan?”

“Hunting orcs,” said Keyleth, unflinching despite the warlike stares of the riders. “They’ve taken a couple of our friends. We want them back.”

“And who are you, to hunt orcs on our lands?”

“I am called Minxie,” she said, “and I am from the North. My companions hail from Mirkwood.” Her eyes sharpened upon a brooch on his shoulder, and armor that would be white, were it cleaner. “What brings a warrior of the Paleguard to the Western mark? Should you not be tending upon King Fredrick?”

“Fredrick is dead,” the captain said bluntly. “Percival now sits the throne, and-”

He swallowed some speech, and continued roughly, “I am Kynan. Lady Cassandra bid us here. To hunt orcs, in fact, which we have done.”

Whitestone was beautiful in the afternoon light. In the morning, once could suppose the pale stone that gave the city its name would sparkle with dew; in the afternoon, the sun turned them to gold and fire, so that the whole king’s palace of Rohan seemed alight.

The guards at the door held strange weapons, stocks of wood attached to cylinders of dark metal, triggers as though for crossbows where they joined. They were much like the weapons the orcs had carried, which shot pellets of metal and sounded like thunder.

“What are those damn devices of Isengard doing here?” Vex murmured to her friends.

“Maybe they’re allied after all, and we’re all about to die,” Vax murmured back. Keyleth just grimaced.

The guard they were passing, it turned out, had sharp ears. “Percival invented these weapons,” he said sharply, “who is now king. The Lady of Isengard is an ally, but how the orcs began making them, we do not know.”

“Is that the word, in Whitestone,” Gilmore said darkly. The guard blanched, but Gilmore still looked grimmest of all.

The Lady Cassandra was pale; the darkest thing about her the dark hair that fell in ringlets around her shoulders, and even that seemed faded, and streaked with white. She did not move upon the bed; she barely seemed to breathe.

“As I said, it was her own foolish fault,” said Percival. He was less frenetic, staring at his sleeping sister rather than the inventions of his laboratory, yet it did nothing to ease the wanness of his own face. “She raced out to the Westfold, even though I bid her stay here, and a Black Rider fell upon them. They brought her home four days ago, and she has not woken since.”

“Another grave loss,” murmured Anders. “All the more reason to keep our forces-”

“Nonsense,” Keyleth said briskly, and pushed him to the side. “Percy - that is, sire, do you have any athelas? Or kingsfoil, or-”

“Percival son of Fredrick, esteemed King of Rohan,” called the wizard, and her speech was proud but respectful, melodious and warm. “Why do you attack me? I have only created great works - and you have done the same! In this we are matched, and I consider it with pride, for I have only ever admired and supported the ingenuity of man. The other races, Percival, and you know thisin your heart, they lack your dynamic ability to adapt, to build upon failure so quickly that success becomes an inevitability.”

Vex and Vax rolled their eyes in mirrored motions; Keyleth pursed her lips; Kima shifted her axe with a growl and might have drawn it were it not for Allura’s hand on her shoulder. All seemed to wait on Percival, who did not speak.

Ripley continued, a hand outstretched. “If you leave this place in peace - or better, if you will come and discuss your plans with me, your thoughts for the future - I have faith that you will all succeed in your mission. And I am glad - for I have no interest in the tyranny of Mordor.”

Her words were reasonable - a mentor to a promising but wayward student, a queen to a beloved ally. Forgiving of the past and burning with passion for the future. To those who fell under its spell, it seemed inevitable that Percival would nod and ascend the steps of the tower; to those who hadn’t, it seemed equally inevitable. Gilmore watched without a word.

Percival scoffed, and looked past Ripley to where Anders crouched on the roof. “You really follow her? Are you an idiot?”

Get up, Vex whispered to herself, in the silence of her own mind. Quiet seemed to have fallen over the battlefield as well, or at least her small corner of it. The terrible black beast and its dark Rider demanded it. Get up, daughter of Mirkwood. Daughter of Imladris. Get up, or the idiot king you promised to protect is going to die, and so will everyone else. Vax is in that city somewhere; get up.

But it was not her hand that drew a ringing sword; it was not her voice that declared, “Begone, foul dwimmerlaik, queen of carrion! Leave the dead in peace!”

A voice as cold as a night on Weathertop hissed back, “Come not between the Nazgûl and her prey! No mortal man may hinder me, and any who try shall be borne away to the houses of lamentation, beyond all darkness, where thy flesh shall be devoured, and thy shrivelled mind be left naked to the Lidless Eye.”

And then Vex did look up, for what answered the Nazgûl was a laugh, bright and clear and nearly as cold, and yet bearing in it the echo of sunlight. What she saw was a young woman, standing between the Witch-Queen and the fallen steed and body of the young king of Rohan, and her sword was steady as she removed her helm to reveal dark hair streaked with white.

“But I am no man! I am Cassandra, de Rolo and shieldmaiden. I have looked on your kind before and I fear you not - but I do swear, you shall not touch my brother, for living or dark undead, I shall smite you where you stand!”

how bangable are the members of vox machina

bc i’m bored and stressed and talks machina won’t be on i’m taking a page out of @taye-x‘s book and this is all her fault blame her i swear (anyways this totally seems like The Best Idea so let’s goooo)

Vax’ildan oh dear Sarenrae this boy child,,,, you really would expect him to be fucking great at sex?? he’s got this rogue, thief, bad-boy thing going on that you’re pretty sure your parents wouldn’t approve of  and he constantly jokes about how kinky he is but let’s be real?? he’s super emotional and constantly monologuing and if y’all fucked he would probably wax shitty poetic about how the stars aligned for your very coupling and the world tilted on its axis when you came together?? probably ends up crying while y’all are together really good at fixing your hair afterwards though (not that it really got that messed up to be fair) 2/10

Vex’ahlia she will literally rock your world?? probably knows more sex positions than you, is definitely into That Kind Of Stuff, usually a dom but is willing to switch like you would never want anyone else ever again and the life affirming sex is gr8 tbh probably disappears the next day though (taking off points for the daddy issues that she refuses to talk about) 9/10

Keyleth just as bad as vax??? she is clumsy and awkward and doesn’t exactly know where to touch or what to do?? it would be endearing but like she’s just so unlucky and uncoordinated that she would probably end up breaking something of yours also the dirty talk is nonexistent and she will definitely end up talking about a tree that she went through one time and how it was the most amazing experience because she talked to the tree and he talked back (or will find a lava river to face plant into) 2/10

Pike is actually a monstah like you would never really expect it from the angelic look of her and her gentle touch when she heals you but ooooh buddy she learned Lots of Things™ while she was at sea and she would love to use them on you and that strength is useful for a hell of a Lot of Things™ and all I’m saying is that after everything is said and done she’s probably totally up for cuddles and amazing aftercare 10/10

Grog as much as i would love to hype up grog’s sexual prowess i’m pretty sure that he’s never seen a bath (like for real can we get a crit role stats tracking how many times he’s taken one) and his junk is Nasty he’s probably usually pretty good at the dirty (though that’s debatable bc the only time we’ve had confirmation of him doing the dirty is lady favors akak the real MVPs) but there’s probably still like Silas and Vorugal bits near there -5/10

Percy did you see the way that little self absorbed prick responded when vex showed up at the door naked?? he had probably had sex like once or twice previously bc he was too focused on revenge for his dead family he’s young and inexperienced and honestly a kind of a prick? totally prepped by asking his friends what to do and will probably be done so quickly (on the flip side though if he does eventually get enough practice he is a tinkerer that is really good with his hands so just stick with him he’ll get better in more ways than one eventually) if you’re lucky you might end up having interrupted bath sex and having to hold your breath underwater hiding from your twin brother who is also in the bath and is very naked 4/10

Scanlan what to say about shorthalt on one hand you’ve got the fact that he’s been through most of Tal’Dorei so like he’s gotta be at least somewhat good (nevermind the magic side of that) but he’s been through most of Tal’Dorei so it’s like russian roulette on whether you want whatever magic STD that he most likely has and whether you want to be That Person going into the temple of Sarenrae to get Greater Restoration for it (just make sure to ask him about his mom that was killed by goblins before though just in case) 7/10

Lyra will definitely call you Aldor the entire time 5/10

Kashaw would be hot and great if immediately afterwards you wouldn’t have his evil dark goddess wife coming for you?? 3/10

Zahra around the same as Vex honestly it would be wonderful and there would definitely be some tail stuff and it would probably be one of the best experiences ever in your life but it would probably end up being a casual thing for one time only 9/10

Allura and Kima let’s be real they’re totally a package deal and also no other words are necessary ∞/∞

Cassandra a bit awkward and nervous but never to the extent of Keyleth not very experienced but super devoted to any task while she’s not that great in bed she makes up for it by being an amazing wonderful human being that deserves so much better than to have to pick up the pieces of Whitestone that is inevitably left behind everytime vox machina feels the need to dash through and listen alright she is struggling like what the nine hells do you want her to do with two aasimar children fucking bahamut percy you’re dead again what do you wANT FROM ME I AM TRYING SO HA- 6/10
