Part 12 - Destroyed Our World

While Jonah went in for a check-up to see Dr Mann, I stay at his place reading through the file again and Ruth's letter for the hell of it. As I wake up from a very small nap my brain filled with information. "Friedrich Mann. Plastic Surgery. Ran away November 4th. Escaped November 4th. Created a new identity. He learned everything there was to know about him. Something Pretender something Tongue? The way he looked at Meyer like he knew knew him." All these thoughts ran through my head, "Oh my fucking god! He's the fucking wolf! It makes sense why Tilda called him the biggest charlatan. Great pretender, Clever tongue. Then the guy was part of the medical team that's why he looked at Meyer. Fuck Jonah!"

I had no clue where he was at the moment but I had a hard gut feeling he was at Meyer's. I quickly drive over there going slightly over the speed limit in a rush. When I get to his house I swing the door open to see him staring at Meyer. "You didn't say it." He says confused and I stay quiet. "What?" Meyer asks him and I see that Mann was dead. "The Kaddish. Before you- before you killed him, you didn't-you didn't say it." Jonah was trying to figure why he didn't say it. "A beast like this deserves a prayer, Jonah? No prayer for him." Meyer asks him so I finally speak up. "It's the monsters among us who deserve prayer most of all." I stop besides Jonah making him look at me lost. "Monsters deserving prayers? Who said that- one of your comic books?" He jokes a little.

"You... said that. You said that." Jonah tells him. "I said that?" He says fixing a drink. "You has the same nightmare every night. You told my Safta. It was in her letters. When you found him,you must pray for him before you-you kill him. You said that." He spits out trying to understand everything. "Well, if course, but..." Meyer tries to cover his ass. "Well, what?" I glare at him. "How... What, you don't remember?" Jonah asks him. "Jonah." Meyer says. "You has the same nightmare every night. How do you not remember that?" I watch Jonah start to get frustrated. "But it was a long time ago, kindelah. The... You know, when you're older... harder to remember." Meyer walks around. "Yet you remember everything else?" I ask him while Jonah thinks to himself.

"Jonah, The Wolf learned everything there was to know about Meyer, except the things that couldn't be taught." I hold on to his arm whispering to him while he was mumbling. "Zuchs escaped November 4th." I grab his hand. "November 4th" He repeats after me. "And November 4th was the last time Ruth saw Meyer." I could see in his eyes that he was going over everything, "The prayer." He says again. "It's him Jonah. He's The Wolf." He looks into my eyes then over at the man we thought we knew. "What's wrong?" He asks us. "It's you. It's you?" You could hear how hurt he was. "What?" Zuchs asks. "Y-You're Wilhelm Zuchs. You're..." Jonah says and Zuchs finishes it, "The Wolf."

"I thought we would have more time." He says taking a seat. "Wh...What?" Jonah asks him. "We needed more time." He says not adding to it. "How? How? How is it... What the fuck did you do? Tell me. Tell me. What the fuck did you do?" Jonah goes towards him but I stay back not wanting to mess with him right now. "The Soviets has taken over the camp, and they were going to hang me. I found a way to get out of the cell. But I needed the papers to escape, so I... I snuck into the tent where... where the man I came to know better than anyone was, uh..." He used his hand to his head. "And you k... you-you killed him? Is that... is that what you're gonna say? You killed him, right? Say it. Say it." Jonah shouts at him. "I killed him. Right where he slept. I took him outside to the woods. And then, uh...I buried him there." Zuchs explains.

"And, what, what, what, you just walked out of there? You took his papers? You took his name? You just walked right out of there?" Jonah was slowing boiling up. "I left your Safta his necklace. Then wrote her a note, um, as Meyer that I couldn't be with her anymore because she was there when I had killed 11 men. And I c..." I cut him off, "You made Meyer kill three of my uncles that night." I was going to go on Jonah cuts in. "No, no, You..." He stops. "What?" He asks Jonah. "You have the tattoo the scar." He points at him. "He gave them to himself, Jonah." I take a few steps towards them and he nods his head, "With, um, one of them... penknives and ink. I manger to escape to Berlin. But on the streets," I cut him off now. "A survivor recognized you and started to scream didn't they? You got away but knew the name Meyer wasn't good enough." I say making me agree, "I had to become him. I went to an SS surgeon, who happens to be...this man who sits dead before us." He looks over at the man he just killed.

"I transferred to this man my entire savings, and he gave me a mask, which... is what you see today." Zuchs says motioning to his face. "And you.. and, what, you just... You came to America as Meyer Offerman. Everything that you told me. You told me all this... Everything that you said - - every-every story, every-every blessing." Jonah rants. "All true, Jonah." Meyer stands ups. "No, no, but they're his. They're his to tell. They're-they're his to give. They're not yours." Jonah starts to raise his voice. "Well, I was..." He starts to say again and I start to get pissed too. "They're not yours. They don't belong to you." I walk beside Jonah. "I was there. I saw." Meyer walks up to Jonah. "It wasn't enough for you to f... Get the fuck away from me! Wasn't enough for you to torture him? To force him to kill, then kill him. You take his heart, his soul, his fucking blood. Me, my Safta. Leah, and her family members too. You had to... Was this a fucking game for you?" Jonah asks him boiling.

"It wasn't a game, Jonah. It was... 30 years I lived as a Jew, I saw as a Jew, I thought as a Jew. You know, I finally woke from the coma of hatred, and I saw the evil I had done to your grandparents... And the Leah, the few of your family members and your grandparents. Your grandfather Oskar, was going to be saved because he helped Jews to freedom and at the time I was pisses because he was on my team. I then realized that I was the villain of my own story. You don't recover from that." Jonah was going to speak up but I beat him to it, "What us to take fucking pity on you? We don't give a shit what the fuck you went through. You're a fucking Nazi." Jonah grabs my arm from going up to him.

"I'm not a Nazi." He says pissing me off. "Of course you're a fucking Nazi." Jonah shouts at him. "I was never a Nazi. No matter what. The Reich was nothing to me." Meyer says is sup mad as he goes to tell us that it's the power that they gave him made him evil. "You saw the evil that you did. How saw it, and you kept going. You kept playing that fucking part. You loved it." Jonah tells him. "I didn't love it." He tells him back. "You lives all this shit, didn't you?" He asks him. "You can't know what a hell it was like to be Meyer." He says making us shocked, "Hell? Hell?" We both say. "I had a mother. I had a father. I was a person, too. I had to kill the person I was to be Meyer." He then goes to tell us he didn't plan this that he had to commit to the whole Jewish faith.

"I became a Jew." He says making me laugh. "No, you're not a fucking Jew. No." Jonah spits at him. He then goes to tell us a little story about how a year ago Ruth showed up and showed him the light. That she gave him the opportunity to finally do something right. "If she really knew who you were she wouldn't give you the opportunity to do shit because she would have killed you." I tell him walking towards him but Jonah puts his arm out stopping me. "What, you thought it your redemption or some shit?" Jonah asks making him get up. "No, I don't look for redemption!" He yells at Jonah. "You'll never get redemption." Jonah tells him only making him repeat himself. "You'll never get forgiveness." Jonah follows him. "I don't seek it! I don't deserve it. The Hunt is my penance, because it gives me purpose, finally. In The Hunt, I find myself. I'll kill for The Hunt. I'll die for The Hunt." Zuchs says pissing me off.

"Oh you're gonna find yourself in The Hunt alright... Dead. The Hunt isn't yours. It doesn't belong to you." I say finally realizing Jonah has had his hand in the gun in his pocket. "Who does it belong to, then?" He asks us. "It belongs to the 11 million who cry from their graves for justice, that's who. It belongs to Saddia who way before The Hunt looked into Operation paperclip, Aila who you killed because she was close to figuring you out. It belongs to Leah... It belongs... to Ruth. It belongs to Meyer. It belongs to me." Jonah says slightly shocking me. "You? Hmm?" Zuchs chuckles. "Yeah." Jonah says serious. "By what right?" He asks. "Birthright." I tell him. "Birthright?" He repeats. "Yeah. Birthright." Jonah says.

"You turned away from The Hunt the first time you heard about it. You took the easy way out. Who was it that got you back? Me." He asks Jonah and he looks back at me. "How could you be trusted to do what is necessary?" Zuchs starts to push his buttons. "Cause my grandfather did. Cause my Safta did. And they're part of me. They are me." He tells him. "Do you want to kill me? You want to become the leader of The Hunt? You'll have to do what is necessary, and you can't, can you? Because you need me." He tells Jonah thinking he won't do it but I knew he would. Jonah was too gone to stop at this point because he had his mind set in. "I fucking found you. I found you." Jonah corrects him. "Jonah, don't let him him destroy your life more." I try to tell him as he grips the gun in his pocket.

"What are you going to do?" He asks Jonah. "You destroyed my fucking world." He says pulling out his gun to his side. "Jonah, I know how much he deserves this. But this is what he wants from you." I tell him from behind him. "You think I want to live? Go ahead. Only The Hunt lives." He tells Jonah and I swear I hear Ruth's voice tell Jonah no as he starts to recite Mourner's Kaddish. "You can't do what you think is necessary." Zuchs says as Jonah says Amen shooting him making me flinch. Jonah puts his gun down pulling out his knife walking over to Zuchs plunging it in his lung. "It's you. M-Meyer." Zuchs says laying in the floor before dying.

Jonah looks over at me with my hand over my mouth and tears in my eyes. "I did what needed to be done. For Meyer and Ruth. What he did to them. I kept their promises." I see his hand start to shake and I run over to him take the knife out of his hand wrapping my arms around him. "I understand you hate me, I understand you don't want me." His eyes start to water so I cup his face in my hands, "I'm not mad and I'm not leaving your side. Now is when you need me the most. Actually where we need each other the most." I give him a kiss.

In the aftermath of this, Jonah and me sits with the group and reveals the truth about who Meyer really was. Of course no one really wanted to believe what we had told them and had a hard time letting it sink in. "No. No, no, no. No!" Joe shouts. "Jonah. Leah." Roxy calls is but we stay quite. "What the fuck did you do, huh? What the fuck did you do?!" Lonny grabs Jonah making me jump up and Mindy start to scream. Joe pulls Lonny away who rushes out calling Meyer's name. "Meyer Offerman is dead." I shout as Jonah get out of his chair. "He died 30 years ago at a DP camp, the hands of this motherfucker, The Wolf. Who also killed Leah's grandparents and other family members. It's done." Jonah says marking out The Wolf's picture.

Another day we all band together, expect for Joe because he apparently packed up and left and Mindy went to go live with Any. Jonah rallies the troop and we tell them that Millie is now hunting us in America. Harriet takes the opportunity to discuss moving out of America and taking the fight into Europe instead. "Yeah, I could definitely use a getaway." Lonny says putting the picture down Harriet passed out. "Let's find these fascist fucks." Jonah says and we all look at each agreeing. "Eastern Europe loves Lonny Flash." Lonny says making me smile. "Oh here we go again about The Lonny Flash." I try to joke lighting up the mood. "Again, you love me no matter what. Also, you two. I swear if you start... Now that Leah moves in with you. We don't need newborn baby hunters." He points between me and Jonah making the girls laugh.

Back at Jonah's I suggest that he try making Ruth's Chicken soup and he was down with it long as I helped. "Jonah, that's not how you cut the vegetables." I laugh at him. "Ugh, move over." I bump him with my hip out of the way. "I didn't know there was a certain way to cut vegetables." He moves closer to me. "How old are you again. You are the age where you drink, smoke and other adult things, but can't cut vegetables right." I smile up at him. "Well... You-you know... that's what I have you for." I laugh shaking my head. "And then what when I'm gone?" I ask putting the vegetables in the soup. "I don't see you leaving anytime soon." He says as I work. "Well I mean like, when we're not. You know, this..." I look up at him.

"Well I actually don't plan on you ever leaving my side even after we both die. Plus you are always going to be my best friend. As for this... I want to be with you and only you it our time on earth is up. I need you Leah. We need each other and we're all we have." He grabs my hand, "You do remember we are are only nineteen right. Things can still happen between us." He nods his head, "I have faith in us and you are the only reason I feel the need to keep going. Safta was right that we were made for each other." My eyes start to tear up, "She said that?" He nod his head giving me a sweet kiss, "Now let's eat." We make our bowls and sit ace from each other at the table. "So now is my new title officially girlfriend?" I ask him and he shakes his head no with a smile, "More like the love of my life. How is it for me?" He asks, "The love of my life too."

Part 11 - My Light Is Gone

"How are the three of us supposed to hide in this small space?" Joe asks opening the back of the jeep. "Well I was going to lay on top of Leah underneath what we're hiding with. My body will hide hers." Jonah says making him and Lonny glare at him. "I take back everything I said about you two. Leah, is our little girl and you come in her getting on top of her." Lonny says as we get underneath everything. "We're not even doing anything?" I say as Jonah covers us up next to Joe. "Oh but it will soon. I know." He closes the door on us. With the plan set into action Harriet was watching from afar, Mindy on the radio in the van, me, Joe and Jonah breaking in the back, and Lonny posing as the scientist going through the front door.

"Joe and love birds, you're up." Harriet says making us sit up. "Really Harriet." I groan. "You've got two guards on your six patrolling the lot alternating 15 seconds intervals. Guards on your 12 every 45..." Jonah cuts her off, "Yeah, I got it. I got it." We look at the guards. "Go." She tells us and we get out fast. I go in first for the air ducks then Jonah follows, "It's too small with this fucking pack on. Maybe I can push it in front of me." Jonah looks is at Joe. "Take your belt off and strap the backpack to your ankle." Jonah does what he's told. "Attach the bombs and get the fuck out of there. We have to destroy all of the pathogen." Joe says and Jonah gets ready to go. "Let's go." I say taking off with him behind me.

"I'm glad you went first." Jonah says making me shake my head, "Oh really?" I smile to myself. "Yeah, I have a nice view." He says making me laugh. "I'm so slapping you when we get out." I continue going the way we need to go. "I never finished telling you what we are because Carol showed up." Jonah says making me pause for a slight second to look back at him. "Yeah." I continue to crawl. "What I want is for us to be more than friends who just like each other." He says making me nod my head, "As much as I like the sound of that... I feel like we should wait to talk about that after this." I say as we were almost there. "Please for the love of god." Harriet says through the earpiece. "Yes, and Jonah. Be prepared for me when I see you. We all heard what you said about Leah." Lonny comes through next.

"Can you be any louder?" I whisper back at him as we get to where we needed out. I stop putting my hand back to stop Jonah as I see a guard looking in. "Okay, it's good to go." I say getting out holding the vent open for him. "Found the solution." Jonah says. "Hurry, Jonah, they're nearly finished loading the trucks. You two need to get out of there." Harriet tells us and I help Jonah with the explosives. As we were finishing up we lose connection with everyone for a little while. "Jason. Jason Schmidt." Lonny's voice comes through. "We're back on." Mindy says and when he doesn't answer her I peak through the small window. "Fuck." I say making Jonah look too. "He's one of Offerman's men." Travis says telling the whole room. "I got a bomb." Lonny yells before the vents start to rumble followed by Joe's gun shots.

"Move Leah." Jonah pushes me to the side running out of the room. "Wait!" I get out of the room losing him for a second. "Jonah!" I yell chasing after him. No matter how fast I ran I couldn't catch up the him but I could see where he was the whole time. "Stop! JONAH!" I yell running faster. "Fuck!" I bump into a guy making me trip and tumble, but I waste no time getting back up running again with a slight limp. "Do you have that strength... Jew? Your friend had it." I run into the room pulling out my gun. "Right before I put two in his fat back." He says making Jonah get ready to shoot him which makes me point my gun at him, "Jonah, don't." My hand starts to shake as Millie shows up, "You can't do this." She tells him. "Fucking watch me. Shoot me if you want." He says not taking his eyes off Travis. "No." She tells him. "He's not walking out of here."

Millie goes to tell him that the only way he can suffer if from behind bars and she can keep him there. That he doesn't have to stoop to their level to get justice making Travis speak up. "Shut the fuck up." Jonah yells at him. "Jonah, please. Don't listen to him." I beg him putting my gun down. "You pull that trigger, Jonah, and you become them, okay? You become the evil you are fighting. And you are not evil." Millie tries to talk to him. "Your Safta, Ruth, she wouldn't want this for you. And I don't want this either. Remember what our conversation was about earlier... About our light. Jonah, she is still here, she's in your heart and she's watching over you. And the only way to keep her alive is by doing what she would've wanted for you. And it is not this. Jonah, you do this... you do this you let her go. And not just her but me too." I beg him slowly walking towards him.

He puts his gun down making my heart break, "Fuck." He groans walking back to me wrapping his good arm around me. I wrap both of my arms around his waist crying into his chest. "I told you, I can't fucking lose you." He rubs my back. "Jonah, don't let the light be taken from you. Don't end up like your grandfather when the wolf took his. I can't be like Ruth watching the man she love break down." He leans down giving me a kiss. After everything Jonah wanted us to go see Meyer but I told him to go alone. Just seeing Jonah on the ledge of taking the wrong past like I did I need time. While he went to Meyer's I went to his and Ruth's place to read up on Ruth's letters till I fell asleep.

"Hey where is lover boy?" Lonny asks as I show up at his place. "Meyer's." I say taking a seat on his couch. "So why exactly are you here?" He asks eyeing me. "I'm bored and a lot is going on in my brain." I stare at his ceiling. "What's going on buttercup?" He pats my thigh. "When do you think we will be done with all of this? Are we going to keep doing this till we get old and die?" I turn my head to look at him. "What's making you ask about that?" He sits up. "I don't know how much more I can take. I'm at my breaking point watching Jonah change who he is because of this damn Hunt." I sigh. "Yeah, I can slightly see the change in him." I sit up turning to face him. "Lonny, in California I saw this boy I grew up with electric someone over and over. Joe had to send me back to the car because I was frozen with fear. And when he started walking back to the car, he had the look on his face like he liked it and was proud." My voice starts to crack. "Oh Leah." Lonny wraps his arms around me as I begin to cry.

After spending some time with Lonny joking around, I head back to Jonah's to watch tv. "He's pissed with me. I should have fucking killed him." Jonah says walking upstairs to his room. "What happened?" I ask following him. "Meyer said I'm not fit to lead The Hunt because I didn't fucking kill Travis." He said changing his clothes. "Jonah, that's not who you are though." I start to feel him drift farther away from himself. "Maybe it should be. He deserves it for killing Booty." He says looking my way. "But Booty wouldn't want that. He would then compare you to villains over the superhero's." He shakes his head, "How would you know? He's dead." He says harshly. "I know, because I knew what kind of person he was. Unlike you, I don't even know my best friend anymore that I love." I just feel no need to try anymore. "Leah, you do know because you love me and I love you." He walks up to me, "I'm still the old me." He reaches to touch my cheek but I move away from him, "No, Jonah. I knew this was going to happen. I just- I can't- not now." I turn away running outside for air and Cheeks goes inside.

I sit outside in the steps till Cheeks comes back outside, "Bye Leah." He says rubbing off and I go back inside to hear Jonah going through things. "Anything on The Wolf." He says going through Ruth's stuff. "This one." I pick up one of her letters that she had told me about and I read it last night. "I'll let you be." I leave the room heading downstairs to sit on the couch. "Don't let him lose his light. Don't let anyone take his light like how he took it from you. Keep him safe, Leah." I hear Ruth's voice as my eyes were closed. Jonah comes down pulling out all of the cook books looking for The Wolf's file. "Before you fuck more shit up, it's this one." I move him to the side pulling out the cookbook with his file. "You know where this was the whole time?" I nod my head, "We worked together Jonah." I say taking a seat at the table watching him piece together the identity of The Wolf, leading him to Dr Mann. "You two, found him." He says and I keep silent.

"Well we aren't 100% that it's really him more like 80-ish. Like if he isn't The Wolf he's the closest thing to finding out if he knows the The Wolf's true identity." I say as he puts down the paper. "This is great though. We finally got him." He picks me up. "Well I said-," I wrap my arms around his neck and he cuts me off with a kiss. "Just shut up and kiss me." He groans kissing me so I do what he says. "I told you how much you mean to me right?" Jonah pulls back looking into my eyes. "Sorta yeah." I tell him. "I'm sorry, Leah. For the way I've been acting especially towards you earlier." I unwrap my legs to stand up. "Jonah," He shakes his head, "No, it's not okay. I know you are just looking after me but I'm pushing you away." I sigh looking down. "Well you know what we say... Relationships are weak spots."

"They might be but I'm not going to lose you in anyway possible. I need you as my friend, my best friend, my friend that I started to feel different about, the girl that I fell in love with, and the girl that I love and can't lose." He cups my face in his hands. "I'm worried it's just gonna get worst for us Jonah. We're only nineteen hunting fucking Nazis and a FBI agent knows what we are doing. Nothing positive is going to come out of this and I don't feel the need to try for anything anymore. My light is gone and I see yours going out soon." I start to feel tears fill my eyes. "No, no, no. You haven't lost your light yet, no one has taken it from you." He says fast holding me in his arms. "Jonah, you took it from me when you yelled that maybe you should be someone different." He wipes my tears away, "No, no, no. I'm still me though Leah. Please believe me and trust me." He holds my head against his chest. "I need you to bring that light back in you. You are everything I need right now and with that gone you will give up on everything. Let me bring it back for you."

"Do you have to be so loud?" I groan opening my eyes to see Jonah getting ready for the day. "Sorry, gotta get ready to go see Mann." I see him slip his gun in the back of his jeans. "Why you holding the blankets up?" He asks and I look down at me. "Well because I'm not wearing clothes." I say looking around the room for my clothes but his room was a mess. "So? I just saw you naked last night. Well actually a few hours ago. Remember, we were both sorta naked together." He smiles making me glare at him. "Just find me my clothes and get going." I snap my fingers at him and he easily tosses me them. "Now out also I can change." I wave towards the door. "Why can't I see?" He crosses his arms. "Jonah!"

"What? Don't be embarrassed because you are fucking beautiful." He kisses my forehead. "Thank you but I'm not fully comfortable." I say making him nod his head. "I understand, last night was our first together and we still don't know exactly what we are. I'll give you some privacy." He starts to leave his room. "Jonah, come here." I call him over. "How can I help you?" He bends down to my level and I wrap my arms around his neck pulling him down into a rough kiss. "I could get used to this every morning." He says into the kiss. "Jonah, unlike Harriet, I'm not a nun. You can put your hands on me." I laugh laying back with Jonah on top of me. "I respect you though." He gives me a sweet kiss. "Says the guy who just said why can't I see?" He laughs shaking his head. "You know, I picked a good one though. Not only is your ass great but your tits are better." He gives them a squeeze, "Now get dressed baby." He leaves the room and I quickly get dressed.

Part 10 - I Don't See Her Anymore

As we start closing in on those who are pulling the strings, we set our sights on a man called Von Braun. After speaking to Simon, who berates what we are doing and tells us we need to stop hunting for the sake of their own heritage. I had to admit that he was right and I was starting to get tired of how Meyer wanted things to be done. For some reason I'm starting to lose my trust in him. While we were in Northern California, Jonah begins questioning what we're doing too. It's here Meyer admits to killing 11 men the night in the camp, in a bid to save Ruth, and admitting he hasn't been the same since.

As we descend on Von Braun and question him over his morality and the Fourth Reich. I almost didn't know who I was looking at when Jonah started to yell at him. When he fails to talk, Meyer gets Joe to bring out the electrical cables to get him to talk which makes me freeze in place. "Hold it, Joe. Let the boy do it." Meyer says making me go cold and picture myself as Jonah. "It's for the light." I hear Meyer tell Jonah and I wanted to scream no but I couldn't move. Jonah takes the cables from Joe and Joe holds his arm out keeping me behind him. They go back and forth yelling till he tells us what he knows. "Where are they fucking releasing it?!" Jonah yells at him. "Everywhere. It's in everything." He goes to tell us it will be a food substitute. "Glucopyranose monohydrate. Corn Syrup." He says then begins to laugh. As soon as I hear the sound of the electrical buzzing it was followed by a scream. "Like that? You like that?" Jonah says shocking him. "What are you doing?" Joe asks him as I finally step back. "He's lying. Tell us!" He shocks him again making my vision fill with tears.

"Leah, go to the car. Go." Joe turns to me turning me around and I make my way outside still hearing the guy scream. When I get to the car I break down into tears talking out loud. "That not my Jonah. Meyer is changing him. He's going down the wrong path." I run my hands through my hair. When Jonah gets to the car I walk right up to him slapping him across that face, "You fucking lied to me! You broke your promise!" I scream at him. "Leah." I cut him off, "Don't you Leah me, Jonah Heidelbaum. I asked you when you first joined the hunt not to go down the wrong path. What you just did in there to him... You're losing yourself! He told you the fucking truth and you tortured him. Never would I think you would go that low like I did in the past. JUST to prove to Meyer! He's changing you can't you see that? You no longer remind me of Ruth anymore. That part of you is completely gone now. Simon was right about you desecrating her. You aren't fucking honoring shit about her." I go off on him.

"Sorry, I want to prove to my grandfather Leah." He says making me laugh. "The guy who left your grandmother to raise their child alone then raised you after she passed." He steps towards me. "No, no. I'm not forgiving for what you just did in there. You know how I feel about stuff like that because how it made me feel. And I never told you but that's what he made me do to that INNOCENT FUCKING FAMILY! I DID THE SAME THING YOU JUST DID IN THERE! Remember our conversation about losing each other. Well, I just lose you in there." I cry as he wraps his arms around me. "Why didn't you tell me? But Leah... You didn't lose me though. I'm right here." He kiss me but I get out of his arms as the other two come back. "Because I hate talking about it. But... Part of you, I did." I say getting in the car. Somewhere along the ride Jonah moved over to me wrapping his arms around me. "Ata kol kakh khashuv li." I look up at him with my head on his shoulder. "You mean so much to me too." I whisper to him. "I-I-I l-love you and I'm sorry." He looks into my eyes being quiet so the two can't hear us. "Ani ohev otkha." I whisper cuddling into his side.

"You know, the first time I met the kid, I thought he was just like her. He reminded me so much of Ruth. Her mannerisms, her fiery temper. Her righteousness." I hear Joe say as I wake up and they were getting gas. "And now?" Meyer asks him. "Now I don't see her at all. All I see is you." Joe says and I see Jonah open his eyes looking at Meyer outside the kiss the top of my head holding me in his arms. "I want up." I tell him and we both sit up. "Do you really mean it?" I ask as he lays his head on my lap. "About the last thing I said to you? Then yes to both." He plays with the ends of my hair. "What you two talking about?" Meyer asks not looking back at us. "Nothing really important. Just a conversation we had earlier today." Jonah tells him while he sits up.

When we got back to Meyer's, Jonah came into my room late at night because he heard me crying. "What's wrong?" He holds my in his arms. "I keep seeing the bomb go off and Murray dying. And.. then I see what you did to Braun and then slowly lose your light more and more. Then it takes me back to when I did the same thing losing some of my light." I cry wrapping my arms around him. "I'm not going to change anymore, Leah. I promise." I shake my head, "Don't promise something you can't keep." I say making him stare at me. "I can keep that promise because I'm not going anywhere. And I still have the light in me like you." I slight chuckle at his words, "I lost most of my light already Jonah. My parents are gone, my Safta is gone, Ruth is gone, Murray is gone, Mindy is broken, and I tortured a innocent family. And Jonah, you're the last part of the light in me. The part of you that is normal Jonah, not who Meyer wants you to be. The moment that happens, I will no longer have my light." I stop crying looking into his eyes. "I'm not going to let that happen. Like I told you, you mean so much to me and I love you. And I mean it Leah." He gives me a sweet gentle kiss that I return.

"I know what Von Braun said, but I can't find this Colonel fuck anywhere." Jonah says walking around the table. "At least not according to anything in the Ark. Maybe the files were burned in the fire." Joe says looking a papers. "What have you found on Helen Hirsch, that-that survivor who was killed at Simpson's barbecue?" Roxy asks Jonah. "Well in her obituary, it says that she's from Arlav. We found four Nazi officers that are from there, but none of them with aliases leading to Biff Simpson." I say and Jonah adds in, "But my Safta and Leah found their immigration records. And all of them are signed by the same guy: Carmel Offie." Millie looks at us, "Offie?"

Later me, Jonah, and Meyer go to see Mindy because we need her help. "Mindy? Mindy darling? Ah, My Mindala." Meyer calls out to her taking a seat next to her. "Let me just take it. Like that." He takes the gun from her hands putting it on the table. He gives Jonah a look and Jonah takes me by my hand making me follow him. "I need to go get something out of my bag." I say leaving him going to my stuff. "How are you doing dear?" Mindy walks in ready to go. "I'm not going to lie and say great but I'm passable." I give her a sweet smile. "Where is all the light in you? You aren't glowing like normal." She walks over to me. "Yeah, the light in me is slowing going out because of something Jonah did." I sigh making her grab my hand, "You need to keep both of your lights lit. You two are too young for it to be taken from you." I give her a hug as Jonah walks in, "You two ready to go?" We look at him. "Aww, yes, dear Jonah." Mindy smiles leaving the room. "I was heard the last part of your conversation." He says as I grab my bag. "And?" I say leaving the room with him. "We are all we have left of each other's light so we have to protect that." I give him a smile.

Back at Meyer's Harriet and Lonny come in, "Never underestimate the power of a blowtorch, friends." She says making me slightly giggle. "Nazi Ken upstairs said our German friends are sending out their little pathogen-filled treats around 8:00pm tonight. Nationwide." Lonny fills us in. We then discuss how will we break in and infiltrate the operation of getting rid of it all. "Perhaps an actor." I say looking at Lonny at the other end of the table making everyone look. "Oh, fuck." He sighs realizing that's him. "Literally fuck you, Leah." He says as we all figure out the rest of our roles for our plan. "Yes, and I'll get to tell everyone I slept with The Lonny Flash! I'd be so honored." I joke playful making him hit me. "Haha, funny. People who get a piece of me are lucky." He rolls his eyes making me grab onto his arm, "Oh, Lonny Flash!" I shout tugging at his arm. "LEAH!" He whines as I hold onto him.

"Jonah, come get you girl off me. Because once they get a piece of me, they never leave." Lonny says making me fake vomit. "In that case I'll take her from you." Jonah walks over pulling me off of Lonny. "Wow Lonny, they're back in their honeymoon phase." Joe says getting weapons ready. "Oh yeah, when are the kids coming?" He jokes making me glare at him, "They are children themselves. We don't need smaller children running around." Harriet says walking past us to go to the attic. "I think you guys are making them uncomfortable. They aren't even together." Roxy tells them. "You wait for the day they kiss." Lonny says leaving the room and Jonah smirks at me, "WE HAVE ALREADY!" He shouts so Lonny hears him and everyone in the room stared at us with open mouths.

"WAIT, WHAT!" Lonny runs back into the room making me laugh at him since he fell. "When?" He jumps up. "When you said I wasn't the wheelman." Lonny and Joe look at each other, "That explains why you two were quiet when we came back." Joe nods his head. "Have you kissed more after that?" Lonny rushes up to us. "Umm, about four more times after that one." Jonah says thinking back. "Oh no! I'm taking Leah away from you. I was joking when I talked about kids. That happens when couples kiss more than ten times." Lonny picks me up running out of the room with me. "We aren't a couple." I tell Lonny as he keeps going. "That's even worse when you have a child on accident."

"Leah, you will be riding with me and Roxy in the back. Jonah you're in the front with Joe." Meyer says as Roxy and Joe walk the guy out without his work clothes on. "Okay." We both say following behind him. "Why did you tell everyone we kissed?" I ask as we interlock our fingers walking. "Well I mean, they like us together so why not just let them know. Whatever we are." He says looking down at me as we walk up the stairs. "What are we anyways?" I smile up at him. "Well I-" He leans down closer but was cut off when we hear Carol's voice. "Jonah!" We look towards the street shocked to see her and Cheeks. "Come on, we gotta get going." I let go of his hand getting in the back of the van.

"If shits going down today, you really think we're gonna find some guy whose nickname is The fucking Ghost? Holed up in some lily-white suburb ripping silent-but-deadliest in his fucking La-Z-Boy?" Jonah asks looking through the binoculars. "Eichmann wasn't in some Argentinian mansion. When they found him, he was working in a factory, living in a shack." Joe let's him him. "Oh, shit, we have movement. Yep, probably our girl Una. Mid to late 50s, blond. Looks like it could be his daughter. Either that, or Cheryl Ladd's stand in." Jonah says making Lonny look. "Actually, Cheryl Ladd's stand in has tits like vanilla ice cream. And I know... cause I had two scoops." Lonny says making me roll my eyes. "Let's go find The fucking Ghost."

Creeping through the house with our guns at ready, me, Lonny, and Joe make it to a floor where we hear a noise. "Yeah, I'm not going first." Lonny says and I step forward before Joe can. In the room we find a man hooked up to a life support machine. "What the fuck?" Lonny whispers and I look at the medicine on the side. I pick one of the bottles and read the name and see Mann. The guy me and Ruth started to look into. "Doesn't look like him." Lonny puts the picture next to his face. "Dieter said they were working on something big. They made biological weapons at Edgewood. Maybe this guy is his test subject." Joe suggests. "No, he got plastic surgery. Look nine fingers." I say nodding towards his hand before slowly leaving the room to look around more.

"Don't fucking move!" I hear Jonah yell downstairs making me rush towards him and see the chick with a child. "Hey! Hey! Hey!" He yells at her as she runs out with the child. "What happened?" Joe asks rushing. "She has a fucking kid in her arms." Jonah tells him as he runs out. "What the fuck?" Loony tells him following Joe. "Before she showed up did you find anything?" I ask him. "A music box that has the same tune as the tapes from Holstedder's." He says going back to get it. "Okay, you take that. I'll run upstairs to get the pill bottles. I'll meet you guys outside." I say running up the stairs.

Back at Meyer's, Joe and Lonny tell him what we found while Jonah figures out the music box. I was in one of the extra bedrooms getting a few of my things to take home I left behind. While I was doing so I start to hear shout downstairs making me rush down. When I get to the bottom of the stairs I see the FBI and Meyer's men pointing guns at each other. "Stop! Stop! Stop!" Meyer yells at all of them and they put the guns down. Millie looks at Jonah then at me with a disappointment. "Now... What can I help you with?" Meyer asks her. "I have a warrant to search the premises." She shows us. "Right. Baruch haba." He tells her. "Fan out, upstairs, You're with me. I was really hoping I wouldn't see you here, Jonah and Leah." She tells her men what to do then shakes her head at me and Jonah.

Millie ends up wanting to see the attic so we all get in the elevator going up to see it. When we get there me and Jonah were surprised to see the ark as a normal attic that had caught fire. "This had to happen last night." I pull him down by his arm to whisper in his ear. Millie ends up arresting Meyer for the murder of Heinz Richter making Jonah go crazy. "This is fucking bullshit." He says as they all get in the elevator leaving. "The attack is planned tonight at Grand Central Station and now Meyer is arrested!" He shouts at me. "Jonah, we can do this." I step back giving him space. "My grandfather was just arrested LEAH!" I flinch at him yelling my name. "Let's just go get Murray and Mindy." I quietly say stepping back more. "I didn't mean to yell at you." He apologizes but I ignore it. When we get out we hurry over to Murray and Mindy's letting them know what's happening.

As the day turned to night me, Jonah, Lonny, and Murray head to Grand Central Station. I walk around listening to the guys talk about Meyer and the feds. Then Jonah and Murray start to talk about Meyer being his grandfather which I try not to listen to. "Fucking shit, Jonah." I say seeing the guy who shot Booty. "Son of a bitch." He says. "It's the guy that killed Booty. He's heading towards the train." Jonah tells all of us. "Lonny do you see him?" I ask watching the guy. "Where?" He asks us. "The subway, dammit!" Jonah curses running pass me. "Ugh, Jonah!" I shout running after him. "Wait!" Murray yells following us.

As we get to the waiting area I stand slightly closer to the dude while the other two are ways. "Downtown express train, wonder where he's headed." Jonah says way watching him. As the train arrives I get in behind the guy taking my earpiece out so I don't stand out. I walk a tiny ways from him watching him sit down taking his bag off. Secretly he chains the bag to the rail making me automatically know what in that bag. Before the doors close to leave, he gets off but I don't make it on time. "Where's his bag? Where's his bag?" I hear Murray as I put the earpiece back in. "Umm guys." I say looking at it. "We have a big problem." I say as a guy takes a seat next to it. "Hey, leave that alone" I say but he doesn't listen till Murray shows up. Inside the bag happens to be a bomb just like I guessed. Murray tries to diffuse it cutting two different wires but nothing happens.

"Murray, you can't diffuse. You already cut the wires that were supposed to stop it." I start to panic. "I'm gonna get the glory. I'm gonna get the broads. You two are going to get out." Murray tells us. "No, no, no, no. We not doing that. We are not leaving you." Jonah tells him. "Listen to me right now, you two hear me? Take everyone now, and you get them out of this car, you hear?" He tells us seriously. "Gam zu l'tovah." He tells us and I start to cry. "Fuck that. We're not leaving you." Jonah tells him. "This too, is for the good, Aaron." Murray says his son's name making me cry more. "Get out." He tells us again so Jonah starts to get everyone moving.

"Murray, please don't keep trying. It can't be stopped they are all dummy wires." I cry begging him. "Leah, come with." Jonah pulls me up dragging me with him pushing everyone out. "No, please." I cry as Jonah holds me in his arm tight still pointing his gun at everyone. "Murray please! Stop! Come over here! Please, I'm begging you!" I cry as people keep moving. Once they were all in the other train I see Murray put his hand out, "Thank you, lord." He says in Hebrew before the bomb went off. "MURRAY!" I scream as we get blown backwards.

"Mu-Murray. No...." I break down sitting up to see the train fucked up. "Leah." Jonah picks me up and I couldn't move, "Leah, we need to go now." He cups my face in his hands. Hold onto me tight." Jonah kisses me grabbing my hand. "He-Mu-Uh-Jon-I-De-Min-God..." I couldn't manage to speak anything right. As we get to the streets were people were rioting and looting like crazy. We both were so out of it as we made our way through the streets managing to avoid everyone around us. "Why didn't you save me?" Murray appears. "You did this to me!" Booty appears. "It's your fault." Ruth was last and I guess me and Jonah were imagining the same thing based on how we were acting. "Why can we see them?" I ask crying as I held his hand tight as we ran away. "I don't know." He panics as we run all the way to Meyer's.

When we get to Meyer's we burst through the door panting. "Jonah, Leah." Mindy calls us and I let all my tears out again. "I'm so sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." He tells her and I let go of his hand walking up to her. "No." Her eyes start to tear up as I wrap my arms around her. "Oh. Oh, no." She sobs with me. We stay like this for awhile till Meyer takes my place and Jonah pulls me into his chest. "Let it out." He whispers rubbing my back and I continue to let it all out. "I know." He kiss the top of my head holding me up from falling to my knees.

"Today... we too, are in total darkness, because Murray was our light. It's no secret that in the shadows of the Shoah, Murray turned away from God, he asked How can God exist? The irony is that the answer to the question is Murray." The Rabbi starts off and Joe holds my hand as I start to tear up again. "A man like this is the greatest evidence of Hashem. Not the burning bush, not the great leviathan, but a man who ushered others to safety during the subway accident last night." I close my eyes resting my head on Lonny's shoulder picturing Murray. "A man who came to my office last year, unbeknownst to Mindy, and as his final gift to his faithful wife said, Rabbi, when she's finally succeeded in nagging me to death, I want the service in shul. I want a Jewish ceremony. Not because I believe in him, but because I believe in her. Now, forever, let us believe in Murray for because we have known Murray, we will forever know the light." The Rabbi says as Mindy goes up.

Back at the Markowitz place, Jonah stays by my side as I stare at the wall. "I should have stayed with him. I keep losing everyone." Tears roll down my face. "You still have Mindy and me." He takes my hand but I don't look at him. "For how long though?" I look up at him but he can't answer me. "Jonah, Leah. My mother wants to talk to you two." Amy walks up to us. "She's in the bedroom." Any says letting us go find her. "Amy said you wanted to see us." Jonah opens the door still holding my hand and she nods her head. Jonah and me repeat over and over that we should have stayed with Murray, but she's says no over and over. "It's just, um... I've been trying to picture his final moment. And I just... I need to know. Was he... he afraid?" She asks holding our hands. "No he kept saying that everything would be okay." I force a smile. " He sounded like he really meant it." Jonah tells her.

"He said something in Hebrew." Jonah tells her. "Oh, in Hebrew?" She asks. "Hodu L'adonai." I squeeze her hand. She starts to repeat it breaking down falling into the bed. "I'm sorry." Jonah says rushing out of the room and I sit next to her in the bed, "He's in a good place with Aaron now, Mindy." I cry holding her hand. "I'll go get Amy." I kiss her cheek before leaving the room. "Amy, she really needs you right now. I told her his last words were Hodu L'adonai." My voice cracks. "Oh, Leah." She places her hand on my shoulder before rushing to her mother while I run outside for air. "Leah, what if I loss you at some point?" Jonah walks up to me. "I've thought same thing about you in multiple ways." He grabs my face placing his lips on mine.

"I got a name, Tim Randall. That's The Ghost's alias." Joe tells Meyer. "Mazel tov." We hear Lonny's voice make its way towards us. "Jews, Jewesses, great to see my people. Oh hello, hello, hello, hello. How are you? Good to see you. Oh, what can I say? The fans love me." Lonny finally gets to us. "Did you find out anything from the book?" Meyer asks him. "Yeah. It's some, uh, Are you there God? It's me, Adolf, shit. It's like an instruction manual. They're starting a war, Meyer. They're trying to... I think they're trying to create a Fourth Reich." Lonny tells us everything he's learned. Soon I spot Harriet the same time as Joe, "No, Joe." I say letting go of Jonah's hand following after him. "You fucking liar." Joe says and Meyer tells them to go into a room.

"Why'd you fucking leave us behind?" Joe asks her pissed. "I'd had to pick up my wedding gift, you bloody idiot." She tells him. "Shut up." He pulls out his knife to her throat making us pull him back. "That's the second time today some twat has tried me." She says annoyed. "You fucking traitor." Joe spits. "Get outside and open the fucking trunk!" She shouts at him so we all go outside and Joe opens the trunk. "Who the fuck is that?" Lonny asks as we stare at the man. "Is that the Wolf?" Jonah asks Meyer who replies not his Wolf. I take notice how the guy in the trunk eyes widen and moves his hands towards Meyer. What is that about? Meyer tells Harriet to wait after the wedding to deliver her gift and tells the rest of us to go back inside.

"Lonny, can I ask you a question?" I ask rushing over to his side once back inside. "What up sweet pea?" He asks. "When you guys went to go see Tilda... Why did Meyer kill her without verification?" I ask pulling him away some. "He said it was an instant and that's all that matters. Why are you asking?" He says making me think. "What did she say before he killed her? If you remember." I ask making him think. "Well she called me an insecure actor, that we only use Roxy for her black skin, and then called Meyer the biggest charlatan then followed by something in German." He says making me more curious. "Is there anyway that you possibly remember at least one word that she said. Think hard please, Lonny." I beg him making him sigh. "Uhh, Umm, something prätendent something zunge. That's all I can remember. Why are you asking?" He asks curious. "Something Pretender, something tongue? What the hell was she getting at?" I ask a loud. "Leah, what are you thinking?" He asks. "It's nothing important right now. I'm just trying to figure something out." I say walking way.

"I saw you two holding hands." Joe says walking up behind me. "Here we go again." I laugh turning to face him. "I saw that he wouldn't let go till you had to yourself." I roll my eyes, "We were dancing before you showed up." I say leaning against the wall. "Oh yeah, I saw the hand holding too. Someone is making their move." Lonny pops up again. "When will you two stop?" I ask crossing my arms. "Well I know, never. It's fun messing with you." Lonny pats the top of my head. "How many times do I have to tell you two me and Jonah are just friends? He doesn't see me as anything more." Joe gives me a look. "Did I tell you what I walked into when we were training Jonah?" He turns to Lonny. "What?" He gets interested.

"When I came back from the bathroom, Jonah got Leah to the floor but she used her legs to knock him down flipping them over. Leah pulled out her knife but the boy caught her hand. He rolled them over getting the upper hand taking the knife away from her. He smiled down at her says he wins but sh asked him does he. Leah here wrapped her legs around his waist twisting and squeezing them to roll them back over again so she's on top. But before she knew it he flipped them over again telling her he thinks he did. He smirks and Leah reached down pulling out her second knife putting it at his throat while he had his at hers. Leah then reach for the gun on the floor secretly with her left hand as they talked. As soon as she grabbed it she pointed it at the side of his head, saying she thinks she wins." Joe tells Lonny what happened making him smile at me.

"Jonah then went to tell her that she was incredibly unbelievable and our Leah said it was a talent. At this time the dropped their weapons but stayed in the same position with him on top of her." I groan at him. "And then you walked in asking if we were done flirting and we weren't." I say as Jonah makes his way over to the three of us. "Here comes your boy." Lonny sings making me punch him.

Jonah asked me if I wanted to stay the night at his place so I did. While he was asleep in his room, I sneak downstairs to one of Ruth's cookbooks that had the Wolf's files. I want to be wrong but it doesn't make sense why both would look and say something like they knew knew him. As I was reading over the files I heard Jonah, "Leah, you down here?" I quickly put it back where Ruth kept it hidden. "Yeah, just a little thirsty." I say as he walks into the room. "You okay? The rest of the wedding you looked out of it like you were thinking." He sits at the table with me. "Yeah, I'm great. Umm just thinking about The Wolf, The Ghost, this Fourth Reich and everything." I slightly tell the truth. "Oh I completely forgot to ask. You know German?" I start to laugh. "Yes, I taught myself. You do remember my grandfather is German right?" He nods his head, "Yes, I remember. I'm just surprised you taught yourself."

"We should get some rest. We have work with Lonny and Joe tomorrow." I say getting up from the table. "Leah, thank you. Thank you for being there for me. Tonight and all the other times." He says as we walk up the stairs. "Of course, that's what's friends are for. Right?" I ask sitting on Ruth's bed. "Friends, right." He says sitting next to me. "We are friends. Right?" He asks looking at the floor. "I believe we are friends. Right?" I say doing the same at him. "Friends since we were five. Right?" He looks at the wall. "And still friends up to this point." I look at the wall now messing with my fingers. "Friends forever, right?" He turns his head to look at me. "Yeah, friends forever." I turn my head to met his eyes. "Goodnight, Leah." He gets up leaving the room and I fall back letting out a sigh. That fucking word, friends.

The next day when we were in the van with Joe and Lonny, Jonah tells them that he believes Meyer is his grandfather. "Do me a favor. Quit crying like you're a junior mitzvah scout at Camp Kinder Ring and just call him already." Lonny shuts him up. "We got más grande shit on our plato, hombre. Like this día de... doom. So let's get in there and find what we can." Lonny says looking at Jonah. "If The Ghost worked for the Army under the name Timothy Randall, this place has got to have a file on him. And you're not calling anyone. All you are gonna do is sit your ass in this van with Leah and keep the engine running." Joe points out. "Sweet. Yeah. I'm the wheelman." Jonah says.

"You're not the wheelman." Lonny tells him. "You're the guy who waits in a parked car and makes sure no one takes it." Joe says before him and Lonny get out. "Yeah, I'm the f-fucking wheelman." Jonah says getting in the front seat and I follow. "They don't want to give you that label because it's too big of a role. I said the same thing in the past but they said I'm not the wheelman because I'm a woman." I explain to him turning on the radio. "They really don't trust us with big roles do they?" He looks over at me. "Of course not." I laugh messing with the radio.

"Leah?" Jonah says my name. "Jonah?" I say his name back. "Uh, remember how Harriet said relationships are weak spots?" He asks looking out the drivers window. "Yeah, what about it?" I ask looking at him. "Does that apply to everyone's relationships with each other in the Hunt?" He asks turning his head to look at me. "What do you mean by that?" I ask making him groan, "Like. Uh, example Joe and Roxy. I see that he cares about her especially when the car blew up. Isn't that kinda a weak spot for caring about someone?" He tries to put what he was thinking into words. "Well umm... Okay, so I'm going to use my own example so we can be on the same page." I say turning my body to face him more. "You mean like when I killed Holstedder because he had a hold of you and I didn't want anything to happen to you?" I say and he nods his head, "Yeah, because we are... we're friends. And our relationship is a weak spot for us if one is in danger."

"Then yeah, I believe that goes for all our relationships with each other. But it's also different compared with our relationships outside the Hunt. We don't want to put others at risk compared to all of us are already at a risk. If you get what I mean." I say going to mess with the radio again. "So no matter what our relationship is it's always going to be our big weak spot." He grabs my wrist. "Yes, Jonah. Our friendship is always going to be a problem for us." I look at my wrist. "Our friendship is already a problem for us. For me right now." He says confusing me. "What?" I ask him but he turns away. "Our friendship, our relationship, it's a problem right now. No matter what type of relationship we have it's always going to be a weak spot. I'm confused why we even have a friendship with each other right now? Lately I don't feel like friends..."

"I don't wanna get hurt because you are confused about our relationship right now. So just leave it at just friends." I say looking away from him because my eyes started to tear up. "I didn't mean it like that, Leah. I'm not gonna hurt you because I know what I want with our relationship." He say making me look at him again. "I hardly believe that because you just said you were confused not even a minute ago." I roll my eyes. "Well I'm not anymore." He brings his hand to my face leaning over and I lean in till our lips meet. It was slow and gentle at first but the second kiss he dived in a little more. I swear my heart went into my stomach and started doing backflips and spinning around.

"Jonah, I think what's best for us is that we just keep our relationship as friends right now." My voice cracks looking into his eyes. "How about we just see where we go from here?" His thumb rubs a circle on my cheek. "They're coming back." I see the guys and we get in the back. "What did you two children talk about while we were gone?" Lonny looks back at us. "Stuff." We both say not looking at each other. "Did something happen?" He points between us. "I feel the tension in here." He looks at each of us. "It not important Lonny Flash." I sing as we take off to the guy's house. "It's their first fight." Joe tells Lonny. "We didn't even argue." Jonah tells them. "They no longer are in their honeymoon phase." Lonny pouts making us glare at him. "Oh my god stop with that crap!" I raise my voice at them.
