The Seeds at the Beach and some giggles with Hurk and Sharky
Current thing treading water in my skull: Link finds a small, shiny thing he likes (like a key or a pendant or something) and just. Eats it. He's always running around and if something isn't Quest Related then it's liable to get lost, so if he likes it, he'll swallow it. Later when he's finally able to take a break he un-swallows it so he can give it to someone for safekeeping or as a gift. The Zora can do this too (Zora digestive systems are... really weird) so Sidon is just stoked to receive this little fish charm his very best buddy found at the bottom of a pond or something. Yunobo is more aware that maybe Link is not supposed to eat jewelry, but when he tries to bring it up to the elders he gets shut down. Gorons eat rocks. Hylians don't eat rocks. What do they eat? Who the fuck knows? He's not eating the rocks, so who cares? Pass the rocks. Rito also eat shiny things for safekeeping, small pebbles for digestion, and they regurgitate to feed their young. Tulin grew up surrounded by adults who were constantly eating or throwing up various objects so he doesn't even notice. Voe are mysterious, unpredictable and frightening. They might do anything at any time, including paying for those jugs of oil with a rupee he just barfed up. Some of the older Gerudo ladies grin at each other and make this sort of eating-a-popsicle motion when they see him do it but, as with most things, won't explain to Riju what that means. She doesn't really think Link is the "looking for a wife" type anyway. Purah, Robbie, and Impa have all seen him do it and aren't about to comment because 1. the Kingdom needs saving and 2. Look at them. Are they really gonna start calling other people weird? And the fact is, if you have the time and you're willing to lose a couple of things down there, it's a fairly easy trick to learn, and they know this because somewhere in the five years between defeating the Calamity and causing the Upheaval, Link taught Zelda to do it too.
I do not like paying the consequences for my actions. my hands tingle and ache like the god damn devil's in them. because it was fun to paint and i did a little too much paint! well fuck you too then. never is it normal. why do all my hobbies involve hands. i need to learn to throw knives with my toes instead
