Your wip titles are HILARIOUS. What is Link's lawn mowing service about?
Thank you hehe. ‘Link’s Lawn Mowing Service and Other Misfortunes’ is a comedy set between BOTW and TOTK with established Zelink. In it, Link decides to get a side job. It’s going to be kinda similar to this fic. I haven’t decided why he wants a side job yet.
He comes up with all these business plans, like cutting down grass or wheat with the master sword (Fi is unhappy), buying noble pursuits then selling them elsewhere for a few rupees more, and selling pics of other people’s feet (they would donate them and he would sell them for profit).
I haven’t written much of it but here’s a clip:
“And… how much did you make?” She looked tired, more so than she had that morning. Link wished he had brought her one of the noble pursuits. “In 6 hours of work, I’d hope it’s a substantial amount.”
He sighed and slumped his shoulders. He had hoped she wouldn’t ask. “Twelve rupees.”
“…Per hour, I hope?”
“No.”
“Hylia give me strength.”
“To be fair, they only sell for two rupees more than what they cost to buy.”
“To be fair to whom?”
He paused. “I don’t know,” he admitted. “It’s not the lucrative business we were expecting.”
He thought of Yunobo’s pyramid scheme. Was it too late to join? Probably. Link silently mourned the possibility of being a downward distributor. It was a strange thought, getting money because fools sold your thing, then recruiting other fools to get paid less to do the same thing, then you get some of their money and some rich person gets some from everyone.
Will the zine include pieces that ship characters, or will you stick to more canon-focused pieces?
Hi there, thank you for the ask!
The zine specifically focuses on BOTW’s story and themes, so ships won’t have a large presence within the zine. Since the focus is on the story, if there is shipping it will likely be focused on romances implied in canon.

By resting!
I usually get creative block if I have too many ideas, which is why I often take a long art break by either doing something completely different like trying other mediums (2D/3D rigging or clay sculpting), or just not doing anything art-related.
Watching videos or reading fics are sometimes counterproductive so I try to avoid doing those, and only focus on tasks that would not let me think about my art WIPS. Like cleaning the house or bookkeeping lol
Consuming art while having an art block makes me feel "guilty" that sometimes it leads me to a longer art block. But when I give my creative juices a "vacation", I can easily go back to my WIPS with fresh eyes and renewed spark.
What motivates/inspires you artistically? (topics, emotions, etc)
Any topic that gives me fluffy and funny vibes can put me on a roll
3 sentence fic request: Link and Zelda drinking tea together
Though Link and Zelda had many things in common, the one thing they did not compare in was their ability to fall asleep.
Each exhausted in their own right, Zelda struggled the most as her brain never seemed to quiet: prayers, studying, reports, she'd run through them word-for-word in her mind as she tossed and turned under her blankets; Link, on the other hand, loved to sleep and was usually snoring in five minutes.
When the knight discovered his princess's sleeping troubles, he consulted with Impa what the best remedy was: tea, brewed with the finest leaves of a blue nightshade, so now each night Link sat on the edge of Zelda's bed as she lay against her pillows, each sipping their own cup of tea and falling asleep together.
For the WIP game: what is the champion's ballad fic idea?
I don’t have a lot for this one yet, but listening to the Champion’s Ballad song that plays during the memory Kass gives you always makes me really emotional, and I was thinking of some sort of reflection piece—possibly Zelda writing in her diary and reflecting on all the Champions and what they are individually giving up for this, and her own relationships on each other them at this point in the story. (Possibly even something from the Court Poet?) That memory is just this really sweet moment of levity where we actually get to see them interacting as a group, but it’s so awful knowing that five of the six of them die, and four of them stay dead and the survivors end up in a completely changed world. Since this Zelda is also shown to have clairvoyance I feel like she would end up really reflective after that ceremony and be compelled to document her feelings on the Champions.
😅 What's a story or scene you've created that you're a smidge embarrassed exists?
Idk that I’m really embarrassed by it, but the circumstances that went on while I wrote Tempest make it hard for me to go back to. It was part of a big bang that all the admins abandoned but didn’t tell anyone else they couldn’t do it, so there was zero feedback back at check ins (which should have been a clue, but it was my first big bang that got off the ground). One of the people assigned to do art for my piece decided to tell me (or at least vent on a discord channel I had access to) that there was nothing they were inspired to do art at all in the story.
So, I rage quit and finished the story out of spite and my amazing friend @studiorat did an illustration.
But it’s hard for me to look back at that piece without remembering the drama. There are bits about it I really like. I love the beginning. I love when Urbosa meets Link the first time. But man. It’s tough.
Having said that, that story does have a lot of bookmarks and what not. I’m never sure if it’s because people are starved for Urbosa content or what.
✅ What's something that appears in your fics over and over and over again, even if you don't mean to?
Horses. Platonic bed sharing (this had to be pointed out to me). Found Family.
⌛ How long does it take you to write a fic, or a chapter?
This Depends. I have a thing I’ve been kicking for like 3 or 4 years and I’m pretty sure it will be done some day. When it was 2020, I was cranking out 2-3 k a week on top of a full time essential job. The Risk of Love showed up out of no where in like 3 weeks, I think.
