This photo was taken in early 2017 when my dog Mollie and I were experiencing life without a home. It was a very scary time and without transport, we walked a lot ..... a huge number of miles over a 9 month period without a set of keys to call my own.
Mollie and I were fortunate enough and blessed to have amazing people support us through a very difficult time by offering a bed, a couch or an opportunity to house sit. Meals were also regularly provided. I actively asked for help. Strangers and friends came to our aid. Many experiencing homelessness are not as fortunate as we were. I'll be forever grateful to those people who did help us. 🙏
There are approximately 6000 people in South Australia who are experiencing homelessness. Approximately 200 are sleeping rough in our city streets tonight! Hutt St Centre work tirelessly to reduce homelessness and help those facing or experiencing homelessness.
This year, Mollie and I will be participating in Walk a Mile in My Boots 2019 - Hutt St Centre and are raising funds to help this worthy cause. Homelessness does not discriminate. Please help by giving whatever you can by clicking on the link below. The more people that know about this fundraising event, the greater the impact, so please also spread the word by sharing this post.

I live a life of gratitude and try to make a difference for the better in people's lives where I can. Homelessness is a subject very close t
