My dog Mollie & I have raised almost $3,200.00 as a result of your generous donations! Thank you to everyone who has supported my fund raising efforts in aid of Hutt St Centre who work tirelessly towards putting an end to homelessness. The support they provide to those facing or experiencing homelessness is nothing short of phenomenal! Please consider making a donation or sharing this post if you haven't already. Perhaps sacrifice your morning coffee tomorrow and contribute $4 or $5 towards this important cause. You can donate by clicking below.

Tomorrow morning it's going to be cold and wet in Adelaide, but I'll be walking in the "Walk a Mile in My Boots 2019" with thousands of others to show that we care, because no-one who is homeless should walk alone. By joining the walk, Mollie and I will experience what it's like on a cold winter's morning to walk a mile to find something to eat, a hot cup of tea or coffee and a friendly face.
I've been in a situation where I've been without a permanent home. Maybe you have to. I can guarantee that it's not pleasant and impacts every area of your life. There are nearly 6,000 people experiencing homelessness in South Australia every year. We think that's way too many people facing poverty and disadvantage.
Homelessness can and does happen to anyone. Each year Hutt St Centre serves around 40,000 meals and offers social work and support services to nearly 2,000 people. Showers, laundry facilities, visiting health professionals, an aged city living program for older clients, recreation activities, education and training, legal aid and assistance with finding housing are all services provided to the 200 plus homeless people who visit Hutt St Centre each day.
Please think about what it would be like to experience homelessness and help those in need. Thank you. ๐
I live a life of gratitude and try to make a difference for the better in people's lives where I can. Homelessness is a subject very close t
