melina had hardly had a chance to reconcile with her girls before she’d gotten the news. they had all happily gone their own ways with the thought they’d get to see each other again but it’d been the last time she saw natasha. seeing her here again, though melina knew that people here came back from the dead it hit her hard. she’d only had the girls for three years but they were her world during that time. her daughters that she would teach, play with, watch old movies, open fake presents. it was their own special little world and melina dreaded would happen when the girls went back into the red room after the assignment was over. though in the decades that followed she stuck to the rules and worked for dreykov. “i should have made more of an effort with you.” melina admitted when she was close enough to natasha. she wasn’t typically the type to get sentimental but having missed their chance before, melina didn’t want to waste that again.
