Update on “The Fatal Rose”

I'm not entirely sure where to put this to ensure that people will see it, but I'm hoping that you find it here if this fic matters to you!

So, as many of you know, I'm a professional writer and editor as well as a lover and writer of fanfic. What many of you probably don't know is that my HxH fic, “The Fatal Rose,” began its life as an original novel. When I hit a block in writing the first draft, I decided to write the rest as fanfic on my daughter's suggestion, also to fulfill a promise to write for the 2019 HXH BB.

Well, it went better than I thought, and now it looks like this book, in its original form, could end up published as a novel! If it does, I will likely have to take the fic down (it's considered a conflict of interest to most publishers since AO3 is free.) But I have been so touched by the love this fic has garnered, and all the kind comments readers have sent in the last year and a bit. So I want to tell you now that it may disappear (at least for a while!) from this site and give you time to save it if it's important to you. Please know that I WILL put updates on here if I take it down, re the publication as a novel. And hopefully, someday, it will do well enough that I'll be able to put it back up, if all of this happens.

Here’s a piece I did for @athelyewrites ‘ HxH big bang 2019 fic, Dare to jump! I fell in love with the concept of it immediately *_* it was hard to pick just one moment in the fic to draw from, so I went with a more abstract idea! Please go read her fic if you can!! Big thanks to @hxhbb19 for organizing this event!! I’m glad I got to join this year!

Here’s my entry for this year’s Hunter x Hunter big bang @hxhbb19! I was able to illustrate @patxaran‘s fic At the End of Everything and decided on drawing the story’s setting, which centers on the deadly and mysterious Lake Solaris. It’s a really interesting read, so please check it out if you have a chance!

The tale of a couple moving to the big city and meeting all the quirky characters in their new appartment... including the tease of a landlord.

I was once again paired with the legendary Shal for this year’s @hxhbb19 with her fic, “He’s Just Not That Into You”, which as always is HILARIOUS and captures all of the character’s quirks perfectly.

It’s my one of my favorite scenes from the fic! It actually made me cry laughing so I had to draw it sdfghfjdk
