Hmmmhmmm..
The absolute lack of Hydfield content is gonna make me crash out, I NEED MY HYDE AND ENFIELD FLUFF, ANGST AND SMUT
I’m tired of having to do everything myself
-The Hydfield guy
I need Jmart and Hydfield Injected into my veins right now
When Richie gets home, the house seems...quieter and darker than usual, the haunting notes of an old vinyl threading through the place. The usual lights are off, and the warm glow of candles light a path that leads to the back of the house - to the rose gardens.
Enfield follows the trail, and as he gets closer to the garden, the floor is eventually covered in blossoms of all kinds, like a living carpet.
The apple tree out in the centre of the garden has fairylights hanging off it, precariously tangled across the branches. The candles don't stop however, leading Enfield up to the tree, where the mixture of flower petals, fairylights and candlesticks form a circle around a letter on a pedestal - also vintage in style.
"Richard,
The most wonderful of souls... Happy birthday my dear. Its been a few days but I have not forgotten any moments with you, your smile painted across my memory. Today however, is the day I wish to see that smile again, and make you the happiest yet. So answer me this..."
The letter isn't signed, and ends abruptly-and it's eventually made clear why when a hand spins Enfield around.
Edward Hyde is on the floor, kneeling, holding out a box towards Richie. Inside is a rhodolite garnet engagement ring, candlelight dimly mirrored in its polished surface.
"Richard Enfield....Will you marry me?"
@never-hyde
"I....Edward this is..."
Enfield is momentarily speechless, tears of joy pricked at the corners of his hazel eyes.
"Yes...Yes, I will, yes, yes, yes.."
He rushed forward, embracing Edward as tight as he could. They fell backward against the ground as Enfield laughed and cried with absolute delight.
He peppered Edward's face with kisses, repeating the same three words over and over : "I love you."
