I have written very loose (well, not really, but I will probably beef them up later when I get back to them) scenes that I had to write before I exploded, but I think my favourite ones to write have been the ones where Satine is meeting with Palpatine. Every time she has a meeting with this guy, she is frothing to just pull a blaster on him for no other reason other than his vibe is foul. Something something, like that one scene in The Office where Michael is like "I have cause. It is beCAUSE I hate him."
"Ah, Empress, you must have read my mind. We were just about to request your presence," Palpatine greets with saccharine tones.
She ignores his attempt at civility and to start a game of unsaid threats. She has no time to be exchanging pleasantries or dancing around the point, so she won't.
"Are you deaf, perhaps, Chancellor?" she asks immediately, coming to stand in front of his desk instead of sitting in one of the visitor's chairs she has so often sat upon. "Was I not clear enough when I told you that Republic intervention in Mandalorian affairs would have severe consequences?"
"My dear-"
"You will address me as Empress," she cuts in sharply.
She watches his face, his eyes. She sees how his pupils constrict and how a flicker of loathing is there and gone amidst watery blue in an instant.
"Empress, we simply wished only to alleviate some of the stress that you must be feeling as Mandalore undergoes terraforming and as the Separatists encroach upon your borders."
She lets him sit in the simpering mess he's made of himself for a length of time that seems to have become uncomfortable for the Vice Chancellor, who clears his throat awkwardly.
"Get your troops out of my system within the next standard rotation, or you'll find that you no longer have them," she promises lowly.
"Are you threatening me, Empress?" Palpatine asks, a snarl curling his lip.
"Good day, Chancellor," she bids tersely, then turns on her heel and leaves.
